It's been quite some time since I've exchanged any messages!
Measures a little over on the Mantis shaft. The blades are fitted into 489 inches or just under half an inch of cut outs around each end to lock them in place.
A Mantis 4222 is made to fit Mantis tillers it will not fit a Craftsman cultivator.
Attachment with Aerator which is compatible with Mantis tillers of the 7000 series. In addition to cutting slits in the lawn, the blades are straight. It could be used for stirring up compost heaps. As long as you already own a Mantis tiller, though, the tilling/cultivating tines on the tiller will also mix up the compost well.

The product you are purchasing is not what is shown on the website I feel that it is a bit misleading Lead with the best language. It is the straight aeration TINES (wheels) that you purchase. There are stainless steel holding clips as well. I received my package fairly quickly and it was well packaged. It is a good product from MANTIS.
Everything appears to be going well. purchased this so that I could aerate and dethatch some spots in my yard before resending them. I used it and realized that it is ideal for reseeding thin patches. Right away I realized I should throw the seed on the ground, and then run over it as often as I can once or twice, then crossways a few times. Produces the perfect seed bed for grass, and a little bit of running over the seed helps it settle in The straw was spread over the ground after it was worked. The areas on my lawn that were thin or held water I also sliced. It is only a matter of time before those become a reality. We've had rain twice already, and the slices are no longer visible, which is why I am curious to see if the grass looks better than the surrounding areas or if the places that held water in the past shed it well. It just works great for reseeding, so I'm mostly just pleased with this. The small machine doesn't just wipe out the yard, but more like throws dirt around and slices slices in the ground. Despite that, this has proven to be a great purchase so far.
The Mantis aerator tines provide excellent performance in small spaces when mounted on Mantis. With my lawn tractor plug aerator, I can reach irregularly shaped parts of the lawn, but I cannot reach small parts of my lawn for aeration using the plug aerator that pulls behind the lawn tractor. They cut down into the soil and lift it to the top of the ground by digging small trenches in it. In order to plant the grass in a trench I cut the trench, tossed the seed onto it and raked the soil over it. I was not expecting that to work out so well.
The reverse version of the instructions is The instructions state that the tines should be installed in an Leaving clumps in the tines leads to the tiller jumping, pulling out the clumps, and clogging. Rather than installing one way, install the other. All of those issues are not an issue. I need to go over the same area twice, but the process will The other great thing about this product is that it is also excellent for preparing new lawn areas. A hole about 2 inches deep is dug. This is a perfect condition for sowing and raking. The product is great. I'm very pleased with it. It would have been great to have had it a long time.
I was able to do the job quite well. I only have a problem with it getting clogged with grass pretty fast. It takes time to cut the grass, which makes the job more time-consuming. But it is worth the time and effort for the price. It is easily installed and used. What I see in my lawn this spring will be the final grade.
I was not expecting it to work so well. It's one of the few things I regret not buying more years ago. You are going backwards the whole time.
Would have liked to have gotten it a long time Our grass looks better now than it has ever looked ever since we used it three weeks ago and after doing a few spots after that. I am in love with Even though some of the parts looked a mess for a couple of those weeks, it was all worth it in the end!.
They arrived in two days. 'Nearly everyone knows how easy it is to install on Mantis tillers. The blades possess two positions of regular and aggressive, and it cost my neighbor $225 to have his lawn aerated. It can be used to aerate and seed spots.
