I used the aerator to bring it down to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm only 5'1" tall. It was a little difficult to get it out if I cork screwed it all the way down. I purchased a stool, which made pulling the compost up much easier. It's not the fault of the design; it's just that I'm short and the pile is 4 feet tall. tall. The aerator is made of high-quality materials. Even though the pile was a little too wet and heavy, it didn't bend out of shape as it pulled from the bottom. If I didn't have this tool, I would have had to turn the pile with a fork, which would have required me to take everything out and reassemble it, which would have taken me about 2 minutes. 5hrs. I aerated it in about 20 minutes using this tool. It could be done in 10 minutes or less by someone taller and stronger. THIS IS AN AMAZING TOOL!.
It was a workout turning and aerating my large taller upright compost bin. Especially since my only tool for the job was a pitchfork. When I first saw this Aerator, I was unsure how well it would handle the contents and perform. For me, the high ratings were enough to seal the deal. Wow, why didn't I come across this gardening tool a few years ago? br>I was worried that this tool wouldn't hold up, but I'm blown away by how simple and effective it is! It used to take me at least 20 minutes to complete this task. Turning the contents takes 30 minutes. The time was reduced to 5 minutes by using this product. Don't think twice about purchasing this item. You'll be glad you took the time to do so!.
I was having trouble turning my compost pile as an older woman, so I saw this device being demonstrated on a u-shaped table. amazing gardening video on YouTube As a result, I placed an order for it. It was delivered on time. I'm overjoyed that it's both durable and functional? I can drill it down to the bottom of my 30" compost pile and bring up the bottom layers to the top. It's something I highly recommend!.
I'd been using a shovel to move my compost around and thought I was doing a good job. ish job. But then I came across a product that looked similar to this one on a forum and decided to give it a shot. The disparity is astounding. br>br> Not only was I working much harder and spending a lot more time with the shovel, but I was also putting in a lot more hours. It turned out that I wasn't doing a particularly good job. This product "drills" right to the bottom of the pile and pulls up all kinds of things that would have taken me a long time to unearth with a shovel. And, unlike with the shovel, when I'm done, I have a nice fluffy and aerated pile instead of an even more compressed mass. br>br>I've only used it a few times so far, but it feels very solid and well constructed. There's no need to be concerned about the future. br>br>Excellent tool at a reasonable price. This book comes highly recommended.
It's well-made and works flawlessly. If the bin is too compacted, turn it by screwing down halfway and pulling up. In a second pass, screw all the way down to pull up and turn the entire pile; about a half-dozen twist and pulls will turn my entire trashcan composter. The solution is simple and fast.
I tried mixing my compost pile in a garbage can with a pitchfork, but I couldn't get to the bottom. With around 6 "spins," I was able to mix my compost bin. When I went down 4', it felt a little flimsy, but it didn't break. Overall, this is a product that I would recommend!.
I anticipated that screwing the aerator into the compost material would be difficult, but it glides in with little torque. In the bin, I have composting worms, and they don't seem to mind when the aerator brings them to the surface. The aerator is also long enough for me to reach the far corners of my bin and spin it without having to reach too far. Overall, I like this aerator and think it's a great way to keep your compost bin in good shape.
This is a fantastic tool. It's going into the compost, and while pulling it back up takes some strength, it's not beyond an older woman's ability. It makes churning the compost a lot easier, and thus composting takes a lot less time. I've neglected my compost bin for years because it's just too difficult to maintain, but I'm going outside right now to scoop up fresh compost and spread it in my garden.
