My old one's blade kept getting stuck/cutting on the metal (green one in photo), which was extremely frustrating, especially since it was springtime and there were a lot of overgrown plants. When I opened it up, I was pleasantly surprised to find a pair of nice gloves. I put it to the test in the yard, and it was razor sharp and steady, with a crisp clean cut. There are fewer moving parts in this design, which I noticed. It's possible that's why. This is one I'd gladly recommend.
These are well-made and have effective cutting blades. The extensions, on the other hand, are completely ineffective. You turn the handle to lock it in place, but it never completely locks, so it slides up and down, making it difficult to use.
Even thick branches are easily cut through with the loppers' business end. The extension handles do not lock on to the primary handles very well, which is my only complaint. When cutting a branch, it can cause the handle to slip. This isn't a deal breaker in my opinion. All you have to do is be aware of it and avoid cutting with rotational force on the handles. It's something I'll keep using in the future.
Loppers are very nice. It is simple to use and operate. They're excellent at what they do.
For what it is, it is a useful tool. It's a razor-sharp tool that's also incredibly simple to use. I like how the handles extend. Originally, I was looking for ratcheting sheers, but this is a great deal!.
They're razor-sharp and have been performing admirably. Unfortunately, it was advertised as coming with a pair of gloves (which I desperately needed), but the gloves were never delivered. It was necessary for me to go out and get some.
They're functional and can cut through some fairly large branches; if it weren't for the handles, they'd be a fantastic cutter. For those, I had to take away a couple of stars.
I was looking for one with medium-sized handles that could cut through thicker limbs. It was ideal; they were manageable but had a sharp edge to them.
