Questions & Answers
This umbrella is fantastic. It was well-made and lived up to the hype. The money will be well spent. However, unless it's a ski travel bag or something similar, it won't fit in a suitcase.
It is NOT a chair umbrella, but rather a regular beach umbrella.
It depends on how tall you want it to be, but I see no reason why it couldn't be done. Separate from the part that burrows into the sand. However, if it does not function as expected, you should be able to return it. My purchase was solely for beach use. I'm sure you'll be able to locate one specifically for your patio table.
This umbrella anchor is best used on the beach rather than on grass. You can choose ASIN: if you want to use an umbrella on the grass. For your information, the code is B082PSS4NK.

This is the best beach umbrella I've ever owned so far. The umbrella and anchor are easily stored in the bag, which has a thick shoulder strap for easy transport to the beach. I visit the beach five times a year. Every week, six days. I usually have a small backpack with me, as well as a chair, a small cooler, and my new umbrella. I like the lightweight because it's a long walk from some of the parking lots to the beaches I frequent. It's simple to put up, and on a few windy days, this umbrella was the only one left standing. The size is excellent, and the height can be adjusted. It appears to be of good quality, and I'm pleased with my purchase.
My wife and I can get a year's beach pass at Delray Beach for $500, which includes two chairs and a fantastic umbrella. It's very convenient, but it's also very expensive if you don't use it often, as we did last year. The AMMSUN 6 is a multi-purpose military vehicle. We lugged our five-foot beach umbrella and two Tommy Bahama beach chairs to the beach in its pouch with shoulder strap. We took the three parts of the umbrella out of the pouch on our beach location because it was very light. The sand anchor, the umbrella, and the mid-adjustable pole are all included. I took about five minutes to turn the sand anchor halfway into the sand. I pushed down a little more and mushed the sand up around the anchor because it was hot and windy (15 mph gusts). It worked by snapping the umbrella into the mid pole and then snapping the anchor into the mid pole. At $49 delivered, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Even in moderate breezes, most umbrellas aren't strong enough. This umbrella's fiberglass ribs are strong enough, and it has so far performed as expected. I use a steel anchor instead of the umbrella's plastic anchor, which is only useful in the loosest sand. Overall, I believe this is a good umbrella, and its construction appears to be sturdy enough to last longer than most, so I would recommend it for beach use.
It appealed to me because of the design. It was the only one I could find. This one reminds me of an orange slice and will help you find your way around the beach if you get lost. AND, unlike my favorite, which recently broke, it is not affected by the wind.
Last month, I purchased this umbrella in preparation for a trip to the beach. I was almost willing to spend $150 on a well-reviewed umbrella system, but my thriftiness won out, and I went with this one instead. I'm so glad I took the chance! This umbrella was simple to set up and stayed put even in gale-force winds on the beach. During Hurricane Isaias' week, we were in southern North Carolina! Other beach umbrellas were blowing over or inside out, but ours stayed put all day, every day. Because the orange color stood out among all the blue and rainbow colors, it was easy to find my way back. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
It is durable and simple to install, as well as appealing and light-weight. weight - and at a reasonable cost It's also tiltable, which I like. I tried another umbrella I had the week before, but it didn't have the same features as this one - On a windy day, the old one kept collapsing and blowing over, rendering it useless. By virtue of the "screw-in" virgue, this new one remained firmly planted in the sand. When not in use, the blade base attachment can be detached from the pointy base pole. The cross-stitching is removable. It's a nice touch to have a bar tool to help with the screw function.
This is the third time we've taken it to the beach. The umbrella stitching came undone at one of the tips the second time around. Today (the third trip), the wind blew the umbrella away, causing another tip to fly. Stronger stitches should have been used for the money spent.
It can also be easily packed into a small package for a beach walk. My main gripe is that I can never get it to anchor well enough in the sand near where I live; I'll "screw" it down as far as I can, but it eventually stops moving while spinning. It'll suffice if there's no breeze, but how often do we find ourselves on a beach without at least a slight breeze? To keep it from tipping over on most days, I have to hold it in my hand.
