It's inconvenient to raise and lower this. I have to crank it in BOTH directions at the same time to get it to come down, and I have to help it along a little by pulling on the umbrella supports. I'm stuck with it now that the return window has passed. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Grand Patio contacted me and offered to replace my item after I attempted to return it through Amazon but missed the deadline. It's possible that I was unsure who to contact at what time. They offered to send a replacement, which they did, and it arrived today. I set it up and it works perfectly, so I must have had a very rare lemon (based on the overall reviews). br>br>This is a fantastic product at an even better price, from a company that cares about its customers.

This umbrella is ideal for use on my deck. I'd be completely exposed to the sun all day if I didn't have the umbrella, but now I can sit in the shade with the umbrella and the dog. This is a fantastic piece. I'm very happy with the way it's been constructed, and the material appears to be very sturdy and long-lasting. It only took a few minutes to put it together because there are only a few parts. Shipping was not a problem; in fact, it arrived earlier than expected. I'm so impressed with this umbrella that I'm considering purchasing a second one to place on the other side of the deck, where it will provide even more shade. This was, in my opinion, an excellent purchase.

When I first saw this umbrella, I fell in love with it. It was purchased on February 25th, but it sat for a few weeks before being used. We were placed in a shelter-type situation-type scenario-type scenario-type scenario-type scenario-type scenario Because of the COVID 19 home order, we've spent a lot more time outside. We used our umbrella twice and enjoyed the weather because we were so excited. We opened the crank this weekend, and one of the support beams snapped where the screw attaches, with no way to repair it. I would have given it 5 stars if the beam hadn't broken. The color is vibrant, the size is generous, and the crank system is simple, but the middle beams are weak. I'll see what I can do about returning it, but I threw the box away, and it's too big to ship. Overall, I'm disappointed that it didn't work out, especially considering I've only had it for a month and have only used it four times.

The umbrella is simple to put together and came in good condition. However, the hole in my patio table is much larger than the umbrella pole's circumference, and I've lost the umbrella twice due to strong winds. I needed to make a wedge, which I accomplished by shoving a tool into the hole. I could tighten the screw under the table, but due to severe arthritis, I would be unable to unscrew it when it came time to put the umbrella away for the winter. As a result, the wedge must suffice.

I got my "coffee" umbrella yesterday, and it's BROWN, like chocolate brown, which surprised me. I also love it now that it's up on my deck, much to my surprise! My backyard is surrounded by natural woods, which blend in beautifully. I also appreciate the shade they provide.

Aluminum is a very light metal. Mine was in the middle of a table, and after it shifted a little, the weight of the top umbrella bent and kinked the very thin aluminum shaft, rendering it useless. In addition, the closed umbrella hides the umbrella's crank. To open it, you must manually pull the umbrella open, reach beneath it and blindly search for the crank, and then duck down to allow the umbrella to open. This could have been solved by adding about 6" of string to the inside of the shaft and lowering the handle to expose it.

Fake reviews are a serious problem for Amazon, and it needs to be addressed immediately. On Amazon, you can no longer find genuine customer reviews. I bought this because of the positive reviews, as I have with many other products. Of course, they appear to be fake, given that the umbrella only lasted a month. The pivot is controlled by a plastic component. It snapped with a strong gust of wind. THIS UMBRELLA SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED.

The production is both large and of high quality. I'm pleased with the color I've received. There's no need to hunt down one in the store and lug it home. Please forward it! In fact, I bought one in the store and placed it in the yard, only to discover that it lacked a center pole to secure the umbrella when I opened the package. Then I had to return it to the car and go through the hassle of doing so. Even in a rather uninteresting yard, I can only imagine how stunning this would be in the pool area! The handle for raising and lowering the umbrella is effective. If you need to remove it from the pole to accommodate the wind, you can easily store it and quickly remove it from the pole. I usually keep mine outside all summer and put it down if it rains.
