Questions & Answers
Yes, they will still work; the swing will be raised by 1/4 inch, but the difference will be insignificant.
I haven't painted mine yet, but if you don't go overboard with the paint, the bearings appear to be reasonably well sealed. If you're worried, some careful masking should keep them safe.
What you're getting at is that I'm not sure what you're talking about. This proceeded in a similar fashion to the first.
There are no other components, such as nuts, bolts, or washers.

The rockers I replaced were at least 35 years old, according to my calculations. One of the bearings had lost its center ring, and several others had lost bearings. br>With the exception of some grinding to remove the old bolts, these were a simple drop-in replacement. br>Here are a couple of pointers: The arms do not come with 1/4 bolts, so get some new stainless bolts, washers, and nuts, as the center to center measurement may differ between old and new. So, if you have to replace one, replace them all to ensure that the load distribution on each arm is consistent.
When two of my other gliders' arms broke on one of them (I have three), I bought extra sets to replace them as needed. When a guest sat in the glider after about 4 weeks of minimal use, the inner parts of the end just broke out. I replaced it again, and it seems to be holding up, but I'm concerned that they'll all break. Also, I wish they came with the hardware because buying all of those parts separately was inconvenient.
My wife is the proud owner of a two-bedroom apartment. She adores the seat glider we have on our front porch. It's out all year because it's out all year. The original glider arms have rusted and broken at the bearing races all the way around. These replacement parts fit perfectly and don't appear to have the rust issues that the originals did. br>br>My only complaint is that they don't offer any other finish than galvanized. But, all- All of these items are well worth the investment. Before you order, make sure you measure yours to ensure you get the right size.
I buy five sets at a time, and I do so several times. I've had two sets where the center of the bar has come out and I've had to replace them at my own expense. People are falling on their buttocks because the insert is not staying in the bars.
I purchased the 4-pack. I packed my belongings, and I'm so glad I did. Another original strut was installed on our glider just two weeks after I installed the first "replacement" strut! To be fair, the glider is 17 years old and the struts were originally made of plastic. When the second one failed, I went through and replaced all of the parts to save myself the headache, possible glider damage, and potential injury to the occupants if the remaining ones failed. It's as good as new now, and it's a fraction of the cost of a new glider!.
I was able to repair my chair glider with these, and I was able to replace all four swing brackets at the same time, as one of the bearings on one of the brackets had failed. The bearing had not been properly pressed in and had fallen out, causing me to crash to the ground. I took out the bad bracket and replaced it with a new one. To keep the bearing in place, I used a hammer and some JB Weld to press it into the bracket. It appears to have been resolved after a few weeks. The remaining three brackets/bearings are in perfect working order.
A porch glider was my most recent project. To finish this glider, I ordered a set of four Patio Glider Bracket Rocker Arm Hardware, which was very simple to install and use. There is no shuddering as they glide. They finished the project with a smooth motion, rust resistance, and a pleasing appearance.
This item was exactly what I needed for my glider. Make sure you get the right length by measuring your existing glider arms. Installing it was a breeze. When it comes to carriage bolt replacement, I recommend getting new ones. Ensure that the length is correct once more. On Amazon, I found a set of various sizes that were ideal; see my other reviews for more information.
