Questions & Answers
Yes, we used stainless steel for all of our metal. The glider has been on our covered porch for four years and is still going strong! We went for the black one! It's very relaxing!
Front : Back: 17" This isn't a slant at all. Our bodies are contoured in the seat.
I'm not sure why, but it came together for my husband and me. We are not mechanically inclined, but we were able to put it together without it falling apart, which I really like.
It isn't difficult to put together. Finding a square head screw driver, on the other hand, is difficult.

This is a piece of furniture that is definitely "heavy duty. " It is well-made and relatively simple to put together. It has a whitewashed finish, as stated in the other reviews, which we like for our little beach cottage. Our only criticism is that it was cut and sanded in a shoddy manner. Many of the pieces' ends are extremely rough and could have been sanded down significantly before being painted. We're both constantly catching our clothes on the jagged edges. So now I have another sanding and refinishing project on my hands. This would have been perfect if the manufacturer had given it a little more attention to detail.
Packed in a protective material for shipping. was practically non-existent. Allowing parts to rub against each other during shipping. Rub marks appeared in the finish, which did not fade when stained again. I understand that the stain must be compliant in multiple states. It's not even close to being waterproof. It's only usable under cover, where it'll stay dry. In addition, when the stain was placed in a drying rack, it ran out of the assembly holes. There is a lack of focus on details. It could have been as simple as wiping it down with a rag. The elements would have destroyed this glider if it had been left out in the open. The wood would crack as a result of water absorption and freezing temperatures. Outside radiuses have good sanding, but inside radiuses have poor sanding. Only one leg of the base has been sanded. I used a water-proof oil stain to refinish this glider. The glider stain was so potent that I had to stain it three times before it was no longer absorbable. The overall quality of the construction is excellent. I would recommend this product, but only after re-staining with a high-quality water-resistant oil-based stain. I haven't finished putting it together yet, but I'll let you know when I do. br>It took me 30 minutes to put everything together. There is a single problem. The bolt hole connecting the bearing bracket and one of the wood screws on the base intersected. The manufacturer has predrilled this hole for you. As a result, I had to back out the screw in order for the bolt to fit together. The wood screw was then retightened until it made contact with the bolt, and the bearings were greased with water-resistant red grease. br> I'm happy with the product; it's comfortable and glides well. br>I'll post a photo later.
So far, the 4 ft white bench has served me well. The included photo makes the finish appear a little more rustic than it actually is. The finish is a brilliant white. I see now that it's because a shadow is cast on it, and the isolated photo uses the same picture. This finish should, in my opinion, be photographed better. However, the semi-solid stain should provide better protection than a more transparent stain, so it's probably a good thing (and I still like the finish). So far, this appears to be of exceptional quality. The sanding around the arm rests is a little rough, but that's to be expected for outdoor furniture. It's not difficult to put together. Attaching the back to the seat base proved to be the most difficult part for me. Given how tight the fit was, it was difficult to line up all of the holes, and I was only able to get 5 of the 6 bolts in cleanly. I had to clean up the last hole with my drill because it was slightly off, but the rest of the assembly went smoothly after that. I had to go over several steps in the instructions again to make sure I got them right. A couple of extra pictures wouldn't hurt to make it a little clearer, but I was able to put this together in under an hour by myself. The gliding is very smooth once it's fully assembled, and it seats two people comfortably. I'm happy with my purchase overall.
It's both attractive and durable. They've been stained, so I'm not sure if they need to be painted. I used some pads I had left over from an old metal swing. This is a fantastic game. br>*Putting it together wasn't easy! The guidelines are straightforward. There are no markings on any of the parts! To understand how the parts fit together, you must carefully examine the image. To put this together, you'll need at least two people. Get your cordless screwdriver ready, because you're going to need it!.
This is made of solid pine and took me about 45 minutes to put together with the help of my 15-year-old son. Stainless steel and copper are used for the hardware. Some of the curved pieces could be sanded down a little more, and the finish is very light. While it could easily be painted without sanding, we prefer a more rustic look, so we left it as is. The glider is extremely quiet, and the seat is extremely comfortable. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Except for the glider, I was able to put it all together by myself. That was something for which I needed my husband. These are strong, well-made pieces. constructed, comfortable, and of exceptional quality- looking. I haven't had any issues. Customer service was quick and friendly in answering a few questions I had.
You can rely on integrity, quality, and a keen sense of customer service from com, and the glider's engineering made assembly simple. Glider was given an 800 rating for this reason. Their company is based in Amish country in Central Pennsylvania, and we received our package in less than a week here in central Florida, about an hour southeast of Orlando. It's a lovely addition to our screened pool lanai, as you can see from the pictures. We contacted Sam at centervilleamish after discovering a blemish at the end of one of the boards. com, who quickly sent out a replacement along with simple replacement instructions. They have a variety of Amish-made covers and accessories.
This is a piece of excellent craftsmanship. Assembling was simple and quick for me. There were no problems with drilled holes not aligning properly that I discovered. It was brought up by a few reviewers. Before tightening nuts, it's necessary to align two or three holes in several places. All of them, however, were a perfect fit. The wood has been pressure treated but has not been dried, making it a light weight material. If not stainless, all of the screws and hardware appear to be of high quality.
