To make matters worse, the lengths of two of the shorter bolts were nearly identical. I was able to zero in on the correct bolt to use at any time once I figured out which bolts had the smallest number of items in the packet. Another piece of advice: when starting with the base pieces, DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUTS SECURELY UNLESS THE BASE UNIT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY COMPLETED. Before doing the final tightening, make sure the sides are level and in the proper alignment. I just got the chairs and won't be putting them outside for a few weeks due to the weather, so I'll have to wait and see if they rust like others have.
I was worried about the bar across my lumbar area, but I don't notice it; instead, I have perfect seat, back, and neck support with no pressure on my tailbone. br>I only got one box, but it arrived ahead of schedule, so I should get my other chair in a few days. br>I found the directions to be straightforward. I put one together in about an hour. There are eight bolts of the same length and four bolts that are only 1mm longer, but they are mounted between plastic and cardboard so that you can count them and see the difference. My only suggestion for making assembly easier is to label the hardware so you don't have to keep flipping the page to figure out what kind of bolt to use once you've completed step 2. Alternatively, if both boxes arrive at the same time, you can save time by using the front page from one and the back page from the other.
The order arrived in two packages. After doing an inventory, I opened the first box and sprayed the majority of the parts with Scotchgard Outdoor Sun and Water Spray. The box contained all of the necessary components. Unfortunately, the second box was damaged during shipping, but the seller handled the situation admirably. Assembly: I wiped down the parts that had gotten too wet with the spray. I made do with the resources I had on hand. Wait until the last possible moment before tightening the screws. I had to loosen up and start again twice. I could have used some assistance, but I was able to complete the task independently. br>The chair is attractive, comfortable, and well-made. I'm very happy with the results and would recommend it to anyone. Because I have a dog, having a glider eliminates all of the concerns that come with having a rocker (paws/tail under rocker).
The gliders are fantastic. I've been enjoying them for the few weeks of spring that we've had. Once I figured it out, assembly was simple, but I had a little trouble with some over welding covering one of the screw holes. We were able to get the screw in by filing it down with a metal file, which is why I only gave them four stars. Aside from that, they're fantastic, and the high backs are my favorite feature.
I like the rocking/gliding action because it is sturdy and comfortable. I believe the seat covering will last a long time and will not rot like some of the other chairs I've used, but only time will tell. br>I had no trouble following the assembly instructions because they were well written. I did opt to use my own small wrench instead of the one that came with the kit - It was a lot less difficult to hold on to. br>I wish it came with a matching side table.
Take your time putting it together. BOLTS SHOULD NOT BE COMPLETELY TIGHTENED UNTIL EVERY SECTION HAS BEEN COMPLETED. We adore them because they glide so smoothly. To make the chairs last longer, I sprayed them with Scotchguard UV and water repellent spray.
They arrived ahead of time. Nice, but the first one was a pain to assemble, and the second one was a breeze after that. They are attractive on the patio and provide a comfortable place to sit. I really like the glider chairs.
These chairs are extremely comfortable and ideal for gentle rocking. My husband struggled to line them up properly, and two of the bolts were too short, so we had to go get longer bolts. Despite this, I gave them a four-star rating because they were so comfortable.
