Questions & Answers

Is this something that can be grown in Florida, or do I need something that is zone 9 specific?

YES! It's a cool-season legume that, despite being a perennial, behaves almost like an annual in Florida because it thrives during the winter months and slows down when the weather gets hot, at which point competition will choke it out. The clover will produce seeds, which will come in and outcompete other plants during the next cool period, ensuring that your clover "Keeps Coming Back" every winter.

What is their maximum height?

This white clover has the potential to grow to be 12 inches tall.

What is their maximum height?

8 inches

I'm a newcomer to the area. I was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, but now reside in the Carolinas. How will this seed fare in North Carolina's piedmont, zones 7 and 8?

br>There's a good chance the clover will thrive there. Of course, many factors play a role, including soil type, sun/shade, climate in your area, and so on, but if planted after the last frost, it should do well. Please notify us. Thank you very much! br>

It thrives on almost any surface
5/5

Clay soil is found in Ohio. Wearing old hiking boots, I spread these bad boys all over my property. Put your muddy boots in your garage. When I go to get my boots a few days later, I notice that the mud on the bottom of my shoes has sprouted. It grows in almost any location. I'm currently in the process of purchasing a second 25-pound bag. Clover will be sown all over the world.

High rates of germination
5/5

I placed an order for some nitrous oxide. I'm going to try out some coated seeds from another company as well as these from Eretz. br>I sprinkled peat moss across my yard where there are more noticeable bald spots (I was afraid I sprinkled too much peat moss on top of the seeds in some spots, so I also sprinkled some seeds on top of the peat moss afterwards and lightly got them into the soil by spraying into the peat moss with my hose on a'shower' setting). br>These seeds produced excellent germination rates, and the 5 pounds I purchased covered a large area. br>I like how you can just toss them in the ground and they'll take care of themselves. Without the use of a seed, it can be spread. Because the seeds are so round and bouncy, they need to be spread out with a spreader. br>I can't really compare them to the coated nitro ones yet because I only tried them out on another part of the yard and they haven't yet come up. But it makes no difference because both are likely to produce excellent germination rates. br>Because this bag has a ziplock feature that the other bag does not, I am giving it a higher rating. Due to the lack of a ziplock at the top of the bag, the other brand almost had some spillage accidents. br>Because these seeds are yellow, it's easier to see where they've spread out (as opposed to the other nitro-seeds). a gray-coated brand colored seeds, making it more difficult to see where they've been spread).

You will not be disappointed if you purchase them

These. Are. Amazing! We purchased one bag in order to put it to the test. So, when we removed English IVY from the pecan trees in 2017, a quarter of our yard lost ALL of its grass. This ivy had grown out of control. It was beautiful to look at from high up in the trees and down in the yard, but the cleanup of broken branches was a nightmare. Ivy is bad for trees, especially in such a large amount. Because this area is completely shaded, we decided to go with clover. There will be NO SUN for the entire day. Due to the lack of direct sunlight, nothing else would grow, so this was a good chance of getting something back. br>br>Anyway, here's the timeline: on Wednesday (27JUL2021), we spread fresh soil/compost and seeded and watered the yard while there was still some daylight left (Day 0 in the attached photo). br>br>Thursday morning (28JUL2021) dampened the yard, no changes, still just a seed that looks like a seed. That evening, I watered the plants. br>br>Friday, July 29th, 2021 (Day 2 in the photo). Seeds had sprouted earlier that day! After years of clay-based work, I was ecstatic to see this. The morning had been dampened by dirt. That evening, I watered the plants. Saturday, July 30th, 21st. br>br> (In the photo, it's Day 3). The morning had been dampened, and the evening had been watered. We purchased a second bag so that we could fill in any gaps left by the first round and thicken some areas. br>br>Friday (06AUG2021 Day 9) As you can see in the attached photo, the clovers are growing quickly and seem to be in good spirits. On Day 4, we added some 'Black Beauty dense shade' grass seed purely for the sake of it. Time will tell how well it works, but in the Day 9 photo, you can see the grass beginning to sprout; they are the small thin long pieces. Will keep updating as time goes on. br>br>.

Perfect!
5/5

I've tried other clover brands, but this one is by far the best!! I was able to re-establish my old lawn by spreading clover through the old grass. This clover is growing at a breakneck speed!! Even when Labrador is on the lawn, it is quite durable. It's not only beautiful, but it also adds nitrogen to our lawn! The difference is quite noticeable since I've gone organic for the past three years. Clover seed is fantastic! In fact, I'm starting to do the same thing on my front lawn. . . it's incredible.

Wow - These sprouted in a flash! These sprouted extremely quickly (mine took two days to sprout) and had a very high sprout rate
5/5

I've bought other clover seeds before, and these are far superior to the others I've tried.

It is necessary to leave great seeds alone
4/5

I'm confident that these are some excellent looks. They grow in an undisturbed environment. I have kids, a dog, and a pair of ducks and won't let them grow because they're already running around. I did see a lot of them sprout before they were destroyed, and I only threw them over the dirt with no tilling. They seem wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Lawn needs to be filled in
5/5

This is what I'm using to fill in the bald spots in my lawn. It's my hope that it will succeed. I covered the very poor quality lawn last summer with black plastic and will remove the black plastic and plant the clover this week on another property in the back yard, where it germinated very well.
