Begin germination on the first day.br> Place about a third of the seeds included in the package (1/2 cup) in a cup or jar. Allow seeds to soak for one hour in a cup filled with tap water. This initial step is not absolutely necessary, but it does speed up germination (sprouting). Drain water from seeds and loosely cover (paper towel is fine) and set aside. Simply skip to day 2 if you want to skip this step. br>Prepare Tray on Day 2br> In one of the growing trays, evenly spread good top soil, about 1/2" deep. br>Place the seeds in the tray and cover them with the following: Take 1/3 of the seeds in the jar (or straight from the bag if you skipped day one) and spread them evenly in the tray without crowding them. Place the second tray on top of the bottom tray, upside down, as a dome. The humidity remains 100% as as 100% as 100% as 100% as 100% To prevent the top cover tray from easily sliding off, place a small weight on top of it. br>Days 3 and 4 - Check your wheatgrass every day to make sure the soil is completely moist but not soggy. Depending on the circumstances, this may need to be done twice a day. A small spray bottle is useful for this, but a gentle trickle of tap water dispersed over the tray area will suffice. Only 1- 3 oz. (5 oz.) Normally, 10 tbsp) of water suffices. br>At the end of Day 3/the start of Day 4, remove the lid and moisten as usual, then set it aside until the next grow. The majority of the seeds should germinate with small sprouts, which may not turn green for several days. Allow them to have some natural light near a window, but not direct summer sunlight. br>Day 5 – You should have small green sprouts at this point, and they'll need some extra nutrition that the seed casing won't provide. br>Day 12 is the last day of the 12-day challenge. ish – When your wheatgrass reaches a height of about 4", it's time to harvest (or feed to your pet). ) Gently pull the wheatgrass from the tray, a small section at a time, and cut near the base of the sprout with scissors. If you get mold or fungus, it's usually harmless; simply cut above/around it.

It's one of my favorite plants to grow for my chickens.
I'm the proud owner of three kitty cats. Instead of eating my house plants, they eat this grass. It grows in a bowl in my house all the time. It is extremely popular among them.
It was simple to plant and grow (just add dirt, water, and light, and the green grass will grow all around you). )br>br>I have six foster cats and two house cats, and they all enjoy playing in the grass. Unlike some cat grass seeds I've encountered in the past, each blade of grass is a good thickness.
I planted a handful the day I received them, and they had already begun to sprout two days later. I would start these seeds inside or under a cover because birds will eat them at any cost.
It arrived quickly, grew quickly, but it's the only grass I've grown that my cats won't eat. They don't want to be a part of it.
These seeds must be of high quality and fresh, because I've had amazing results despite having no prior gardening experience.
my cat adores it!.
It grows quickly and lushly in a week's time. It is a big hit with my cats. My cats run when I bring the container inside. It is safe for them to eat and it helps to settle their stomachs.
