Questions & Answers

Cooking instructions can be found on the package. There are none, and they aren't getting any. There isn't even a mention of cat grass. Is this the proper course of action? I'm not sure how I'm going to grow it. ?

Yes, I use it for cat grass, and it's fine; however, it takes a little longer to grow than the other brands I've tried, as in 5-to-10 days. Instead of two days, the food will be ready in eight days. It does, however, stay fresh for two to three weeks, which is well worth the wait because many other seeds begin to dry out at the top after seven days. 10 days. The cat is clearly pleased with the item, as she regularly nibbles on it. br>Instructions: Fill a small pot with dirt up to about 3" from the rim, sprinkle seeds on top, then cover with another inch of soil. Fill a medium indoor pot halfway with water, then place it in a dark cabinet for several days. When you see sprouts emerging from the soil, place them somewhere bright but not in direct sunlight. Because the cat will eat the seedlings before they are ready, the risk is high. After a few days, the grass will be 2" or so tall, high enough for the cat to reach and enjoy. Water as needed, testing the soil by feeling it; if it's damp, that's fine; if it's dry, add a couple of ounces. br>Grass is a surface plant, so only a light covering of soil should be applied to the seeds, but there should be at least three of them. For the roots to grow deep, there is a 6 inch space available below the seeds.

Is this wheatgrass or cat grass, and which do you think it is? They're not the same, according to legend. For nutritious juicing, I require wheatgrass. ?

Wheat and cat grass are both present in this mixture. I grow some for myself to juice and some for my cats to eat.

What is the best method for storing seeds? I only use a small portion at a time, so they'll last a long time in the freezer. The business does not respond to emails. ?

I use the seed for cat grass, so I only use a small amount at a time, and I keep it in a plastic airtight container in a dark area of my shop where the temperature stays between 50 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. So far, there have been no mold issues. The key, in my opinion, is to use an airtight container. I find it to be effective.

How much, if any, sunlight is required for these seeds to sprout?

I planted my seeds in a flower bed with average/slightly improved soil but nothing special, watered them, and waited about 8 to 10 weeks for them to sprout. They sprouted in a flurry in 11 days. They can withstand the cold, but I intend to maintain a patch all year. They get about 4 hours of morning sun where my bed is located. You can use a planter if you don't have access to a garden or a bed. That method has worked well for me as well.

Wow! The seeds are fantastic
5/5

It's a big hit with my hamsters. This is my first time purchasing and growing wheatgrass, and I couldn't be happier! After conducting extensive research, I decided to purchase the one-pound bag and grow half of it in a tub for my five hamsters to enjoy. They're so obsessed with it that I broke off small chunks and placed them in their cages. br>I was able to get grass to grow in their bedding, which meant I wouldn't have to worry about them eating soil or being injured by something in the soil. I soaked them for about 24 hours ahead of time to ensure they would hold up. Then I took a plastic storage container and soaked some of their bedding (Kaytee Clean and Cozy) in water, forming a 1" thick layer on the bottom. I sprayed water on top to make it extra wet, then planted the seeds according to the directions. As you can see from the photos, they're doing fantastically well, and my hamsters are loving it. I have a small bowl that I'm using to grow smaller portions for their cages and then the main container for them to walk on and hang out in. They like to eat the grass and dig up the roots, so I can confidently say none of it will go to waste. The other half of the seeds are still in the bag, waiting for me to need them. Next time, I'll probably just plant a small bowl of them so that I only have enough to eat. br>Overall, I am very pleased with the seeds and will purchase from this seller again. I was ecstatic with the customer service and the very clear online instructions; I wish I could give them a million stars. Todd's Seeds deserves a big thank you!.

Simple to grow and simple to maintain! This was a straightforward and straightforward procedure
5/5

I then went to Todd's website and read through the instructions. The photos were taken during my second attempt, which went much better than the first. Compared to my first attempt, the grass grew much faster and is much more lush. The seeds were planted on a Saturday, and these photos were taken on a Wednesday early in the morning! Simply wash the seeds first. It's not necessary to soak them, as I did on my first attempt. Second, if you want a lush pot of grass, scatter a lot of seeds around. I spread a thick layer of seeds across the soil, making sure they were completely covered. Third, I applied a thin layer of soil to the seeds before covering them with a damp paper towel. Finally, I placed the pot near a window but out of direct sunlight, and watered it twice daily. My "big boy" and I are both very pleased with this wheat/cat grass!.

Love it
5/5

I'm buying these seeds for the second time. It takes about 5 days for them to appear, and they last about 4 weeks. There was just too much the first time I used the entire bag and my cat couldn't eat even 10% of it. I used 2 tablespoons and a smaller pot the second time, and I plant a new pot every 3 to 4 weeks to ensure the cat has a constant supply of fresh food to nibble on. br>The blue pot in the picture is filled with fresh grass - Around the age of 7 or 8 days. And it's on its way out of the red pot - 3 weeks or so.

The seeds are fantastic
5/5

Quick turnaround! The seeds are fantastic. I didn't really pay attention to what was being said. Simply gather some dirt, fill a shallow dish (plant saucers work well) with it, and spread a thin layer of it on top. I use a spray bottle to water them, then cover them loosely with plastic wrap and place them under a growlight. A bright window would be ideal, but Michigan doesn't get much sun. In a few days, they sprout, and in two weeks, you'll have a clump of grass. I've made two large bunches and am working on a third, but I've only used about a quarter of the bag!.

Todd's Wheatgrass Grew Quickly and Abundantly
5/5

With a few changes, I modified a review I found on the site. I filled a planter to about three inches from the rim with planting soil. I strewn the seeds liberally throughout the planter and added another inch and a half of dirt before placing it in the cabinet under the sink of my guest bathroom. I re-read the book for the next two (or three) days. Wet the paper towels and put them back in place. I was surprised to see that not only had the seeds sprouted, but that the grass had grown to be a couple of inches tall by the third or fourth day. The grass was a 'yellow-green' color. Because there was no sunlight, it was 'ish'. I watered it and brought it inside to keep it in the shade. The grass was already green after only a few hours! The planter is now visible on the screen. Todd's seeds grew much faster (and thicker) than expected in my lanai (I live in Florida) where my cat enjoys nibbling on the grass whenever she is outside.

It quickly expands
5/5

I don't have a green thumb, and I shouldn't be trusted with plants in general, but I bought these seeds for my cat and tried my hand at growing cat grass. Here's the good news: These seeds are practically foolproof, as they sprouted immediately and with no effort on my part. br>br>All I did was put a single layer of seeds (less than a tablespoon) in a 4" pot of damp coconut fiber soil- Then I covered it with a quarter-inch of extra fiber and set it aside for a few days. I can now see the tiny tendrils snaking up from the soil (creepily). (I'm not a big fan of plants, and I think they're a little creepy, so. ) )br>br>One of the things I liked about this brand was how quickly it put me at ease. When you visit their website, you'll find an easy-to-follow guide. read the owner's explanation, which *exactly* states that the seeds have never been soaked before being planted. That's good news, because soaking is a time-consuming process. intensive (soak for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for eight hours, drain for ) I tried the soaking method on a second batch of seeds just for fun, and there isn't much of a difference. After soaking the seeds, they begin to germinate with these tiny white tails (still creepy), and you can then plant the sprouted seeds as usual. It's supposed to cut the growing time by a day or two, but I found that it's the same because what you gain in growing speed you lose in the long soaking process. So, if you don't want to soak your seeds, go straight from seed to pot. br>br>I appreciate that they aren't overly packaged. They're just in a plain plastic bag that I transferred to a large tub for storage. Although a 1 pound bag is probably enough for a year's supply for my cat, I'll gladly repurchase this brand once we've finished with this batch.
