Use no fertilizer.
After I've planted the seeds, I place the container in a dark, shady spot. I move the grass to the windowsill once it starts to sprout so it can get some indirect sunlight. It quickly expands.
So far, it appears to be continuing to grow. Mine has reached a height of about 6 inches on two occasions. It's about 2 to 3 inches long when I'm done.
Yes! And follow their instructions carefully, such as burying the seed very shallowly (I believe they say 1/8 inch?). Also, don't overdo it. Just add a little bit of water to make it a little bit more moist. It resembles a weed in terms of growth.

I originally wrote a negative review because the kit didn't include any soil, despite the fact that the product title stated that it did, but I eventually figured out that the two small round pucks were the soil. I had no idea what these things were in the first place. I never thought there would be enough soil to fill the container because they're so small, but once you add water, they fluff up to about 20 times their original volume. Amazing. I'd never seen anything like it before, and I'm sure that many of my customers have as well. It would be helpful if the instructions stated that the tiny pucks are the soil, which expands when wet.
Cat grass was suggested by a friend, and it has made a huge difference. br>br>I chose this brand after reading reviews of other The Cat Ladies products and giving it my seal of approval. br>br>However, I'm curious about maintenance. Can I just keep planting seeds in the same soil if the grass dies in a few weeks, according to the instructions?.
Sad. However, the end result is satisfactory. My cat eats the fake plastic grass, but she won't eat the real grass for some reason. It's simple to grow and has grown to be quite large. My cat is odd. br>She will eat the grass in our backyard, but because it was cold and she had seen her cat puke from the fake grass she was eating, my daughter ordered cat grass for her.
Oh! Well. During the spring and summer, I suppose I can just let her out to eat the grass in our backyard. br>The product was satisfactory, easy to grow, and attractive. My cat, Miss D, on the other hand, did not appear to enjoy it.
To begin, let me state that my kitten is not a plant eater, but she became obsessed with eating the fake grass in my dining room centerpiece. I purchased this item in order to have an edible yet decorative substitute. It worked like a charm. In three days, I had full grass growth (due to a blizzard, I had little sunlight during this time). It's thick and lush, and my cat eats it all day long, nibbling happily as we eat our own meals. It's fantastic, and I strongly advise you to check it out!.
plants for the patio, It's a sign they need help with hairball processing, according to my research. As a result, I read EVERY SINGLE THING on Amazon, re: cultivating cat grass This one drew me in because of the positive reviews! & They weren't joking when they said it would germinate quickly! However, I would say SUPER FAST! I followed the instructions for planting the seeds, and the next day was GROW DAY, because the seeds were already GERMINATING the next AM, with little green shoots pushing up through the soil! My cat, on the other hand, was uninterested until the wheatgrass had grown to about 4" in height. THEN she took a bite, but only after the grass had grown to a height of five inches. Her curiosity was piqued MUCH MORE at 6" high! STILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL I'm thinking about doing a mixed cat-and-dog breed. This time, I'll bring a grass seed packet. check to see if THAT piques her interest ( better for her taste buds) Different strokes for different people, as the saying goes. I'm guessing our kitty cats are the same way!.
However, it's entertaining to watch it expand as it absorbs water, and the grass seeds germinate in a matter of days. My three cats adore it, especially when I disguise it as a houseplant I don't want them to eat! (When you're a cat, unauthorized pleasures are always the best. ) )Best of all, they won't be able to knock it over and ruin it - They usually succeed in doing this with every toy or accessory I purchase. It's also quite attractive, and I'm not opposed to having it in my home. In fact, I bought a second one as a backup because they're devouring it so quickly.
My cat has the delightful habit of devouring my plants. He harmed my palm to the point of death! So put some kitty grass in there to divert his attention. This product grew quickly and was simple to put in the ground. Make sure to follow the planting instructions because I completely forgot to leave some soil out and thought I had ruined the whole thing because those suckers will not go into the soil. They did, however, germinate well and are thriving! Kitty appears to be in good spirits.
The only thing I'd like to know is whether you sprinkle the seed on top of the dirt or if it needs to be covered with dirt, and if so, how much dirt? Anyway, it's fantastic, and my cat is completely enamored with it. The small box is very light weight and looks great, with a rustic feel to it.
