Temporary lawn usually means that the seeds germinate quickly, but that the grass will brown in the summer heat and will most likely die. It's a quick fix for quick results, but not long-term results, so don't use it unless you're selling your house.
To ensure uniform coverage, we recommend using a spreader.
This comes in a three-pound bag that covers 500 square feet.
Gulf annual ryegrass and charge II perennial ryegrass make up this mix.

I was taken aback because I had never heard of such a thing. Sure enough, there's a small print on the front of the bag that says "temporary lawn," but there's no further explanation of what that means anywhere on the package. Some people have said that it only lasts a year before the grass dies. Who wants a lawn that is only there for a short period of time? I'm glad it grew quickly, but I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known I'd have to re-plant it. The same areas will be seeded in the following year. They should be very clear about it, but they aren't!.
" And, because the grass grows quickly, it also dies quickly, resulting in more/larger bald spots on my lawn than before. And I'm still stumped by the following dilemma: Why would anyone want a temporary lawn when there is so much work involved in growing grass, especially in California? That "temporary lawn" copy, in bold black or red writing, seems like it should go at the top of the packaging. This product receives a one-star rating from me. Now that summer has arrived, my lawn is in even worse shape than it was before I used this grass seed.
I'm not a slob; I just don't give a damn about grass. My HOA, on the other hand, has told me that I must take care of the grass. After receiving two passive aggressive letters, I was forced to do something about my brown blades in the front yard, so I bought this seed and hoped for the best. br>br>After a month of heavy watering (by heavily, I mean I doubled my water bill), this stuff worked like a charm. HOA is now off my back until this thing dies once more. I'll definitely be buying this again if I'm forced to!.
It's only been three weeks. This seed sprouted up in a flash. It only took three weeks for it to turn green. I raked the soil, strewn seed, and waited for the birds to arrive. I used tack to lay down more seed and straw, and I watered 4 times a day for 5 minutes each time. Everything is depicted in the image.
Worth 3x the cost. br>br>Watering twice a day is recommended, with germination occurring in as little as four days. br>br>I watered once a day for 48 hours and had small grass sprouts. br>br>Best grass seed I've ever used.
I pulled up the dead, burned grass and tried to fix the spots with other brands, but it didn't work. Then I came across this stuff, and WOW! I'm blown away by how quickly and effectively it all came together! I sprayed it on about a week ago, and the areas that were yellowed or bare now have full, plush grass. Now that I've tried it, I'm hooked, and I'll keep buying more when we run out. I've tried every grass seed available at Lowes and Home Depot, and this one is by far the best. I strongly advise you to try it!.
However, I'd like to offer you a suggestion. This seed appeals to me, and I plan to purchase it again next year. br>grows quickly with little attention (honestly, it was told to water 2- 3 times a day is a good rule of thumb to follow. I don't believe I watered more than 6 times; natural rain and morning moisture were sufficient. )br>However, unless your lawn is perfect and looks exactly like this seed, you will notice patches or other irregularities, so MAKE SURE TO BLEND. I'm going to buy more for that purpose next year. It's a lovely bright green color that's soft to the touch. However, if your lawn isn't the same, you'll be able to tell where it is, but where I blended more in the back yard (for the dog spots) where I hand seeded, it looked much better and blended in well.
It's live animals we're dealing with. When it comes to the product's success, there are a lot of variables to consider. Is the seed viable, and will the majority of it germinate? This is determined by soil preparation, temperature, and moisture management. With more than 65 years of experience using Scott's products, I am completely confident in them. Next spring, I'll have a more accurate assessment. For the time being, the viability of this seed is dependent on a number of factors. Make the best of your situation and hope for the best weather possible. operates. br>br>Scotts is a high-quality brand. You'll have a good chance of succeeding if you use it and follow their planting instructions. Best of luck!.
