What is it like now that it has been a ?

However, he did not die. In central Florida, this grass came up great in the spring and then died in the heat of summer. This year, I planted it again in November, and again it has grown very well. Now it looks fine. Hope it will last until its time to go when I sell my house in March. There is no way it will survive here in Florida in the summer heat. This plant is not indigenous to the southern states. My only complaint is that the seed is poor quality. We just don't have the right climate for it in

In what way has it changed from the first ?

It is thin as all fescues, but its dark green color is healthy

What are the results of this seed in ?

A shaded area did not prove to be good for me

How does this grass grow? Does it spread over the years, or does it remain in one spot?

It is tall fescue that is the predominant kind of grass in this mix, Jon. There is a slow spread rate with tall fescue, which is a clumping grass.

The seeds did not germinate
3/5

During the past two weeks, I planted two three-row beds The bag of this product I purchased at the beginning of a wet September has yet to germinate. It is now October 8 and there is no sign that it will. As soon as I planted it, I also fertilized with Greenview Starter Fertilizer. No indication could be found in the packaging or website that this fertilizer has a germination suppressant in it, although it may be unmarked.

The germination of the seed has been going on for two weeks
4/5

The experiment has thus far been successful. The aftereffects of sowing two weeks later You should seed your new lawn with a fertilizer specifically formulated for new lawns. Having not known this, the grass can't be fertilized until it has established more root systems. In order for fertilizer to make its way into the soil without burning the grass, grass seed needs to germinate for several days before it sprouts. While I seeded later than I should have, but before the tree leaves grew to full size and created deep shade over the summer, I did not get them in as early as I should have. It is only two weeks since seeding that the grass is now around 2 inches high and getting their second leaf/blade. It was difficult for me to loosen the soil on the majority of the seeded area. There are a lot of tree roots in the soil and clay is heavy there. In these areas, grass is still sprouting. As long as the soil is moist, I've kept it that way. Sometime you will need to water twice per day with a sprinkler for ten minutes each. There have been days when the temperatures ranged from the 60s to the 80s.

It took two weeks for the sprout to appear

When soil is added, it works better. The following address *Texas st Augustine grass (yes, I know it's for northern lawns, but the area in which I'm planting it is not suitable for this type of lawn) Planted The following conditions will be in effect on January 4 In the first two weeks we had a cold front that came in the evenings at 30 degrees and reached the During the third week, I was back in my 40s and A time to sprout has come Taking about two weeks for the first few blades of grass to appear. Towards the end of the third week, 70 percent of the grass seeds had The roots appear to be the thickest in the areas where I added soils instead of those that had clay soil, but a few have sprouted there as well. In the first round, I overseeded the areas, and in the second round I reseeded them. I will be here for five Raking the soil and making sure that the ground was loose was my responsibility. (Houston garden center) composted the topsoil and added it to my garden. In areas where there was about an inch of that, the most success was achieved. As a result, I got a sprout rate of about 70 percent in areas with enriched top soil, and less than 5 percent in areas just raked with little to no top soil added. In the pictures you can see the mix I have. My knowledge of the variety of grass is limited and they're all fine blades of grass, so I am not able to tell which sprouted. The rating will be updated once the rest of the seeds sprout in the bald spots. Therefore, it is in balance so far.

We had a ten percent success rate
3/5

It takes some time and care to plant this "dense shade mix" in my zone 6 lawn area beneath a large oak tree which receives about 2 hours of direct sunlight daily at times and overcast at other times. A light layer of straw was placed over the seed for the first two weeks to prevent birds from eating Each day, at least one quart of water was applied to this area In the summer, when it is very hot and dry, maybe twice a year We also feed Scott's New Turf grass food to our lawns. In the end, the results were In most cases, only approximately 10% of the seed germinated, and the rest dried up or went There are a few sparse and thin shoots in that 10% of the area, but the bulk of it is still bald. I must conclude by saying that it looks like it is not suitable for truly shady areas.

Not a single blade of grass to be seen
3/5

The seed was never able to germinate. Following the directions completely, I did what was asked. My first step was to loosen the soil, plant the seeds, cover them with soil and wrap them with a light hay mulch. We watered it every day when it didn't rain, and we ended up getting a lot of rain as a bonus. Almost 2 weeks go by, and there isn't a blade of grass to be seen. There was not a single blade in sight!.

Shady areas work well with this product
4/5

Many times this product has been used to repopulate lawns that have become thin and bare under shady conditions. In these difficult areas, it germinates well and grows decently. Other products failed to germinate in these areas. In any event, it is important of course to take care of yourself. It is important to have decent soil, to rake the seeds into the soil, and to water frequently once they have germinated. In the past, planting early in spring has produced the best results for me. The product is very good (and we have bought 10 more times).

5/5

I think this is a A very fast-growing plant. The package was a bit of a surprise when I received it. In terms of the size and price, I expected a larger bag. Instead, I received a bag that measures The cost of grass seed is high. It's not just this brand. All grass seed brands cost a lot.
