of wood and 3 oz. grass seed If you're looking for that in a ten-year-old, look no further. This product is for you if you need a pound bag.
Label states it has more than 98% "inert" (non seed) material and less than 2% grass seed.
Label states it has more than 2% grass seed. I'm not sure how much seed it has. My spreader cannot be used due to the wood mulch. Buying Bermuda grass seed and wood mulch separately from any garden center is far more cost-effective and satisfying.
I'm not sure if it was because of a bad bag or something. I bought the bag in early July and immediately spread it out. Grass is watered three times a day, for three minutes each, in the early morning (timers spaced one hour apart) and again at 7 p. m. I also manually watered the product twice a day, at noon and at 4 p. m. , to keep it moist (we are not allowed to use auto sprinklers during the day). I can get about 1 square foot of grass out of a 10 pound bag. The seed(s) failed to germinate in a number of areas. There's also crab grass seed thrown in for good measure.
It's been over two months and not a single seed has sprouted. I watered the lawn twice a day, but there was still no sign of life. I'm so let down.
I used it, and within a week, I could see new grass sprouting. I have a sprinkler system, so I make sure it's wet twice a day, and it's worked great so far. The Bermuda grass is a vibrant green that is pleasing to the eye. I went out and purchased some more for the backyard.
One bag of seed was busted open in the box, so I returned both bags with the scooped-up seed, and they charged me for one bag. It's absurd because they got both bags if they only got one. br>If the seed had been weighed, it would have revealed everything.
Even in the scorching Florida summer heat, it performed admirably; all I had to do was toss it on the ground (no preparation required) and water it once a morning for two weeks. I'm surprised Bermuda grass sprouted so quickly; it usually takes a month or more to germinate. It's Bermuda grass sprouting, not rye grass, according to my research.
It's simple to water and plant if you follow the instructions. It took about 3 weeks for the grass to appear in the large dirt area caused by the utility dig.
The mulch mixture made it very simple to stick to a watering schedule. Beautiful, lush green grass!.
