Questions & Answers

Is there a well inside the bottle for ink?

Just a bottle of ink was all I got. I mean, the ink is something I really enjoy. But there's nothing inside, and I had a hard time filling my Con 70 with it; the quick press of the button required to fill with ink had me slamming into my neighbor. Oh my goodness, it's NIB, not Neighbor! Is this a piece of plastic that I tossed out? Why am I missing a piece of plastic? Is this going to make filling my pen easier? There are so many. My other ink bottles are Iroshizuku, which I like because they are tall and have a perfect little gathering at the bottom to catch the last of the ink. The short squat and round bottle are not ideal in my opinion. I'll look for a plastic insert; thank you for asking because I had no idea my ink was supposed to come with one.

In comparison to a 12-pack of ink cartridges, how many uses does this have?

Yes, I agree that "br>A pilot ink cartridge contains. 9 milliliters of ink This bottle has a capacity of 60 mL, which equates to 67 ink cartridges. Ink cartridges vary in price depending on the manufacturer, but a Pilot costs $0. 9 Ml. When you use a cartridge, you pay a higher price. You can also get it in a bottle that looks like a coke bottle, which saves you a lot of money. To use it, all you need is an empty 60 ml bottle to pour it into.

Is this fountain pen compatible with the Pilot Metropolition?

Yes, I use Namiki black ink in my Pilot Metropolitan, and I really like how dark it is. Even when I leave it capped and unattended for weeks at a time, it has never clogged my pen.

Is it possible to use this to refill my fountain pen while also using a sable brush?

Yes, you certainly can. It's a dye-based ink that wipes clean from pens and brushes with ease.

Getting Along with the Elders; With the New, it's fantastic
5/5

This is the first time I've used Namiki ink, and I'm very pleased with the results. The ink has a vibrant, pleasing black color, which is exactly what I wanted for my writing projects. My oldest fountain pen, a 1950s Sheaffer's Craftsman that my father used in high school, was the first to receive the ink. This pen makes use of a "tip-on" design. filling system for snorkels "dip" The writing was easy to read and understand. There were no blobs or leaks in my system. The ink was then drawn with my newest fountain pen, a Pilot MR Retro Pop edition with a squeez converter. It was a simple, fast, and painless procedure. The ink flowed smoothly onto the page once more, and it dried quickly. There are no stray smudges or strays. Without a doubt, I would purchase this product again. // PS: The bottle is beautifully designed. It has a very refined look to it. ) // APRIL 27, 2017 UPDATE: This ink has been used in a variety of situations.

A Fantastic "Every- Use Ink on "Day
4/5

" Even for a hook-handed lefty. I'm using a Pilot Metropolitan with a Medium nib to write with this ink. Smears are not a problem for me because I am a lefty/Southpaw. Overall, I think this ink is very easy to work with and flows beautifully from the nib. It doesn't bleed through the fibers of the paper. br>br>The only thing I don't like about this ink is that it appears to have a thinner coverage than Noodler's Bernanke Black. On the paper, the Noodler's looks a little more solid. The downside of the Noodler's Bernanke Black, which is designed to dry quickly, is that if you leave the cap off your pen while doing paperwork, it can dry up in the nib in minutes. This isn't surprising, but it can be aggravating. br>br>For functionality, I would definitely recommend this ink, and I would say it is a good ink for everyday use. Just keep in mind that for a similar price, you can get more impressive black inks.

Ink does an excellent job of writing; Refilling can be a challenge
3/5

I bought this ink to go with the reusable cartridge that came with my Pilot Metropolitan. The ink writes smoothly and darkly, does not feather, and leaves thin, easy-to-read lines. The issue stems from why I was using it in the first place: This product was recommended to me by both Amazon and Pilot as a convenient way to refill the reusable cartridge that came with my fountain pen. It was simple to refill, but I ended up with a lot of ink on my fingers and it took a few tries to get any ink into the pen at all. I noticed that the cartridge lasted a lot less time than the Pilot disposable cartridges, and while the ink in the bottle is plentiful and will last longer than the disposable cartridge pack I bought, I won't be buying it again due to the lack of ease of use. Still, if you use fountain pens frequently and don't mind filling reusable cartridges, which are known as converters, this is a good product.

Great color and flow, just as advertised
5/5

To go with my new Pilot Metropolitan, I purchased this. I was loaded and ready once I figured out how far to dip the pen into the ink to suck it up (further than I expected). On 24 copy paper, there are no feed or flow issues, no bleed, and the black is black on paper. I have no blotches or drips (most of which I assume are due to the pen, but some may be due to the ink).

Great black ink (in the sense that it is actually black)
5/5

There are many different types of black ink to choose from. Some are hot, while others are chilly. Some are a strong, dark black, while others are weak and grayish. If you're looking for a basic black ink that flows well and isn't too playful, I think this ink is "just right. " I like how it's black but not quite as opaque as Noodler's Black. There is a smidgeon of shading, but it isn't distracting in any way. br>br>Not to mention, at less than twelve dollars, it's a fantastic deal.

The ink is dark and rich
5/5

For beginners, this is an excellent ink. It doesn't get too wet or too dry, and it dries quickly. I bought this bottle to see if it was worth it to buy the giant bottle to save money, and it appears to be a good choice; it's a very bold black compared to other blacks. The old Chinese-style Korean- If you like the look of brush calligraphy, the Japanese bottle shape is quite appealing.

Works well, is reasonably priced, and is ideal for fountain pen beginners who aren't sure if they want to continue using fountain pens and require a low-cost ink
5/5

The only criticism I have is that the ink is a little pale and not as vibrant as I had hoped. However, if you're using thin paper and don't want bleed throughs, this is a great way to write on both sides. If you're going to use it for art or writing thank you notes, you might want to go with a higher class.

This is fantastic! I've only recently started using inks with my watercolors, but I also enjoy writing, so this ink is a happy medium for me! I can use it on its own or in my fountain pens to paint or draw with
5/5

I'm not familiar with inks, but it appears to be the same color as one of my favorite ballpoint pens, the Uniball Signo, which pleases me. Plus, it has an inner plastic well for when you finally get to the bottom of the bottle (it's a cool black). And, in my opinion, the fact that the bottle is made of glass is a huge plus!.
