You should be able to use an International Standard cart in your Waterman, but double-check your model on Waterman's website or ask about it on the Reddit for fountain pens. Selected User Reviews For Lamy Z28 Fountain Pen Ink Converter, Pack of 5
These converters are simple to use and convenient. They allow you to use any fountain pen ink in your Lamy pen and reload them as needed from an ink bottle. On the Lamy website, there are instructions for filling these while they're in your pen, but I discovered that you can fill the converter by itself from your ink bottle by simply dipping the converter's very end in ink and turning the piston knob to draw ink into the converter. This was easier for me than dipping the pen in the ink, and there were fewer bubbles in the converter as a result. After wiping the ink from the converter's end, it's ready to use in your pen.
According to another review on this site, the current stock of these converters is almost certainly the new Z28 type (which replaces the Z24). I wanted Z28, so I took a chance and placed an order, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive 5 Z28 converters. The distinction between the two types of converters is as follows:
- The main ink container on Z28 is made of a different type of plastic. It has a higher transparency, which is better for ink level windows.
- Z24 comes with a black-and-white design. Z28 has a silver metal ring on the red twist handle, while Z28 has a coated metal ring. br>br>Compare photos (not mine) here: kmpn. blogspot. http://www. lamy. com/2015/08/lamy- new- z24- to convert html.
Everything went according to plan. I haven't figured out how to fill them without a few air bubbles, but that hasn't been an issue when using the pen, so I believe it's a matter of user error. (If this isn't the case, I'll watch a video tutorial and revise my response. ) ) These are difficult to clean, particularly with shimmer inks, and I have yet to figure out how to disassemble them, as some FP enthusiasts claim. Regardless of how I flush or clean them, some residual ink always remains. I've even put them in the refrigerator to soak. This doesn't appear to be a major problem, and I haven't had any issues with residual ink leaking into the next color I load. That's all there is to it.
It's convenient to have extra ink or different colors in my sketch bag instead of having to lug around bottles of ink. To avoid a mess, I cover the feed end with tape and store them upright in a plastic prescription pill bottle in the inner pocket of my bag. There was just enough ink to do a few sketches. They are simple to clean and fill. For light sketching excursions, they're a must-have.
Simple. free - saves $$- I was worried that the ink would leak or cause a mess. Don't be. br>br>To fill/refill the cartridge, I use a tissue, close the plunger completely, and dip the cartridge tip into the liquid ink bottle. Twist the plunge to the full open position, then wipe the cartridge tip clean with a tissue. wala! Done! There are no leaks, no messes, and it functions flawlessly. It's a lot less expensive than buying pre-filled bottles. This is a fantastic purchase.
I chose the LAMY safari for my everyday writers, choosing dedicated colors for each of my six common colors (blue, black, red for documents, and pink, violet, green for fun stuff and color coding). ) Each converter costs $5 USD, and I'll need six of them. One was already in my possession. BOOM, this listing was exactly what I needed at a price (at the time of writing) that I couldn't find anywhere else. br>br>Brand new units, no issues with damage along the way, though they were poorly packaged and could have been damaged if mishandled, but I don't think that is the seller's fault; I believe it is the fault of the Amazon distribution center. They don't seem to have been mistreated in any case. This purchase has made me very happy. br>br>.
increases the buyer's value. The cartridges are exactly what they say they are. I've already completed two of them as a newbie with no issues. These refillable cartridges allow me to experiment with different inks, which I enjoy. As I continue to purchase more Lamy fountain pens, I will not hesitate to purchase additional cartridges.
These are genuine Lamy converters that will fit all Lamy fountain pens. This is a fantastic deal at $17 and change. For your safari or vista, you'll definitely want to, as the two posts on the side will click into the base and help keep a tight seal, preventing leaks. The only issue I had was that the packages were never sealed when I first ordered them, so the five pack fell out somewhere on the way to my house. This is something I would strongly recommend to anyone who uses a Lamy fountain pen.
