There isn't a lot to say about this. It's a big roll for the price, measuring 3" wide, and I was a little disappointed because I expected it to be without wired edges, but it does. I didn't want wire in part of my project, so after trimming my piece, I simply pulled it out. In the end, it met all of my requirements, and I still have plenty of material to work with for future projects. It has the texture of a thick, high-quality burlap.

My husband walked into the room as soon as we got it up and exclaimed, "What is that smell!" ”. This ribbon has a chemical odor that we could detect all the way into the next room, which I hadn't noticed at first. br>br>I've worked with burlap before and am familiar with its earthy scent. This ribbon is one of a kind. It smells like a chemical, so I'm wondering if it's been treated for pests and fungicides, like some burlap products are, or if it's been treated with a flame retardant. I'm not sure, but it's not something I'd want in my house. br>br>I removed the ribbon in the hopes of returning it, but it appears that it is not returnable, so I am stuck with the stinky ribbon. Item is as described and was used to make a garland. Excellent craftsmanship. My tree looks fantastic with it.
I'm not sure how this burlap ribbon received such positive feedback. I was overjoyed to receive it and had planned to hang it on our Christmas tree. I noticed a strong chemical odor as soon as I opened it. I couldn't bear the thought of putting this on our Christmas tree at the time, so I let it air out in our garage for a week. I attempted to hang it on our Christmas tree today but was unable to do so. It gave me a headache because the odor was so strong. Whatever chemical was used to saturate the burlap couldn't be good for you to inhale. I'm not sure what's causing this to smell so bad. However, I will not jeopardize the health of my family. There must be healthier, more natural alternatives available. I've realized that I need to be more cautious when purchasing products online because online markets, such as Amazon, are likely to be brimming with products that are hazardous to our health due to their manufacturing locations. There is no assurance that the product is safe. I've recently heard a lot in the news about the safety of foreign-made products, but I've never come across a product that I thought might be harmful to my health until this one.
They worked well for that, but when it came time to remove the burlap from the Christmas tree, the sides began to peel away, ripping and tearing the fabric. I'll be able to wear it next year if I want to, and the rips and tears will be hidden. Overall, I was satisfied with this product for the purpose for which I purchased it.
I really wanted to like this ribbon, but the stench was too much for me. It has a strong chemical odor to it. I won't be able to use it to make gift wreaths. I've tried to get rid of the odor but haven't been successful. I'm going to try washing the entire roll in the hopes of getting rid of the odor that way.
