Selected User Reviews For Safari Fountain Pen (19F) Black + 5 Black Ink Cartridges - 1
The pen I just bought is my third fountain pen bought based on reviews in the past month or two. Once again, I am very dissatisfied with the uneven quality of writing that this highly recommended pen produces. From box to paper, it has written beautifully. I have not had any issues Both lammy and the other pen made very blotchy marks as if the ink was in vain trying to flow into You could see the ink through the paper if you wrote so slowly. What if that was all I asked for? It does just fine for my purposes. I am no beginner in the pen world, espically fountain pens. I bet I have spent a few thousand dollars on pens alone in the past 4 years for my work as I write a lot. If you're going to buy a crossed or a pilot throw away, they will write beautifully every time. I have wasted so much money trying to find pens that write as nicely as the inkjoys or pilot g2 from papermate. The cross is right at the top! You won't get the value for the money if you do.
Out of the box, the program works. The box of 5 black ink cartridges was replaced along with the blue ink cartridge. Despite my expectations, the blue ink did not appear to be dark enough to It is too early to tell whether the black ink works or not. A converter on which I filled black Noodlers "The Heart of Darkness" ink has come to my aid. There is a good flow to it. Pens like this will become a part of my daily life. I'm going to purchase another because I love it so much!.
Due to its great durability and lightness, the lamy safari is made from the same plastic used to make Lego blocks. The pen itself is also really nice, was it doesn't say "I'm rich and I write with a better pen than you" rather it suggests you enjoy a certain level of elegance in your life. . .
The pen itself is really nice. Once I got used to writing with fountain pens, I realized I was used to writing with ballpoint pens and holding the pen too upright and pressing too hard. Once you have become accustomed to writing with fountain pens, you will understand why people prefer fountain pens to ballpoint pens. If you don't put much pressure on the pen, it will start writing automatically and because of this, you will note that your letters will begin to resemble handwriting like they are connected to eachother.
(I also bought a Kaweco pen) I ordered this as one of my first fountain pens. Considering the reviews, the printer seemed to be a great value. With the included ink cartridges, the offer was even more enticing. It seems there was something wrong with the It took a day or two before the pen stopped writing and the ink drained. The pen was taken apart, and hard bits of ink were cleaned off the nib and feed by watching YouTube videos. Replacing the cartridge with a new one (from the same package that came with the pen) requires you to put everything back together. Once again, after a couple days, the pen stopped writing and the ink was Examined the cartridge after removing everything, cleaning it, and inspecting it. Despite being a great pen, the cartridges would be a problem for me. You can also buy from another pen shop with some quality control and customer service, if you don't want to buy from Amazon.
Since I started writing in old, turn of the century dip pens (quill-like pens) over two decades ago, I've mostly used fountain pens. The disposable Pilot markers made a good start for me after I had begun using pens with refills again. Lamey caught my attention and I decided to try it. As soon as you puncture the ink cartridge and take off the ring, the pen will write smoothly. The last time I had it was about a year ago. An update will follow at a later date. Transition pen that works well.
