I ordered a ten pack of grommets because I needed them for a control board project I'm working on. br>br>Installation was simple; I used one-inch grommets and drilled one-inch holes. Always keep your bit/hole saw straight when drilling a hole. The hole will be loose if you tilt it. That problem can be solved with some black duct tape wrapped around the grommet's "plug. " Painting - br>br>Painting - br>br>Painting - br>br>P They can be painted, but if they'll be banged, bumped, or have wires moving across them, such as on top of a desk, you should prime them first; if you paint them without primer, even with plastic paint, the paint will chip. Price - br>br> I bought the ten pack (even though I only needed six), so each grommet cost $1, which is a bit excessive for what they are. The 20 pack is only $ if you're working on a bigger project or need some extras. It saves a little money at $84 per grommet.
These are suitable for completing a 3/4" hole with a wire running through it. It really works. I just wish I could buy fewer, but shipping one or two would be a waste of money.
With the right hole saw, these work great; I only wish there was a cap to finish the back that was attached, but overall, the product meets expectations. The photo shows how I finished a hole in the side of a wall with a grommet. mounted shelf, which can be used as a charging station.
To accommodate cords for my security cameras, I had to drill holes in a few wall cabinets. Even after staining the holes, it still looked a little rough. These inserts were found in the size I needed and are perfect; they fit perfectly and look fantastic. They seemed a little pricey for what they are, but I'm glad I got them.
I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I found exactly what I needed. I wanted to finish a hole in my dash that I drilled for a USB cable. This was exactly what I was looking for. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. When not plugged in, the USB cable is clearly visible in the bottom right photo in my post.
They came in handy when I needed to run electrical wiring through a large model train platform.
A snug fit that was exactly the right size for the hole I drilled in the wall. My only criticism is that I believe it is a little pricey for some molded plastic pieces!.
