It necessitates the use of a tn460.
The 2840 is something I'm unfamiliar with. The 4100e, on the other hand, is an absolute workhorse! br>I've had mine for a long time and use it frequently in my home business. It has never given me any problems, and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a replacement for the one we had for ten years. We've been using it as a stand-alone fax machine. Every 20,000 copies, the drum needs to be changed, but it will notify you. It's a fantastic facsimile and copy machine. subscribeToCommentThread=on subscribeToCommentThread=on subscribeToCommentThread=

a word to the wise! If you're using a PC or an older version of an iMac, this printer and fax machine will suffice. You'd think Brother would state unequivocally that this machine is incompatible with Mac Catalina 10. After six hours of attempting to configure installation and drivers, as well as three hours on hold with Brother, they simply stated that this machine will not work with my iMac Catalina. br>So, I figured I'd share this with you so you'd know, because Brother won't tell you.
For a short time, this fax machine appeared to be in good working order, but then it started streaking badly. It worked fine for a few days after a couple of LONG phone calls with Brother, who walked me through maintenance, cleaning, and eventually changing the cartridge and drum, but then it started streaking badly again. Attempting to contact Brother again was futile. Because the warranty had expired by a few weeks, we were told, "Sorry, there is nothing we can do. " ", says Brother. We had a technician look at it, and it was determined that the problem was with the drum. It was changed YET AGAIN, and it worked for a couple of days. This has been a very vexing and discouraging experience.
The last three have been particularly difficult, with the same issue recurring - a vertical white line running down the pages of faxes sent and copies made The problem is not solved by cleaning the machine according to the manual. We've also squandered money by replacing the drum unit multiple times (when we probably didn't need to) in an attempt to resolve the issue. The issue appears to be with the scanner glass, which is difficult to clean because of the design of the machine. Over the last few years, we've had this issue with three different machines. The fact that the most recent machine had the same problem after only four months was the final straw, as we were unable to resolve the issue. Aside from that, this is (was) a fantastic machine; however, due to this ongoing issue, we are switching to a different fax/copy machine from a different manufacturer for our office needs.
So when it came time to replace it, I was delighted to discover it was still available. It's incredibly simple to use and can handle a large amount of data. So I'm confident we'll be fine for another 15 years!.
I work at a college where faculty members frequently struggle to use basic equipment; I believe their brains are wired for higher-level tasks. This is the first fax machine that they haven't broken while trying to use it. br>br>The controls are simple and intuitive; I've had a few people send blank faxes because they didn't realize the paper needed to be face up, but that was easily remedied with a p-card. "Please put your face up" is written on a label that you should touch: )br>br>This machine is also extremely quiet, which is important given that it sits outside my door all day. Our previous machine used to beep continuously for no apparent reason, and we could never get it to stop. When it's printing, this machine makes only a small amount of noise. br>br>I also like how large and color-coded the buttons are. This makes it a lot easier to use in my office. We get "spam" faxes almost every day (about 2 or 3 pages per day) and actual faxes maybe once a week, but the prints are clear and the toner appears to last a long time. We replace the toner about once a year at this level of usage. br>br>This fax machine comes highly recommended.
After owning an identical model for the previous six years, I recently purchased my second one. Even though the old machine is still operational, it is clearly on its way out. I was ecstatic to discover that Brother continues to produce this model, and I immediately ordered another. br>br>The old machine printed literally thousands (possibly hundreds of thousands) of high-quality pages while being used every day in a busy office environment. The print quality is consistently good. It has also been used as a fax machine extensively with no issues. This machine can withstand a lot of abuse, and I like how easily it connects to my PC via USB. br>br>I have no reservations in recommending this product; it is easily a five-star product.
This prevents the paper from coming out, allowing the copy to be completed on both sides. It was my fault because I didn't read the specifications as thoroughly as I should have, and I had a 15-year-old Brother before that. So far, this one appears to be reliable and user-friendly.
It's a huge step forward from our previous one. We did our research before buying this for our small medical office, as we fax a lot of information and receive a lot of faxes. It's been up and running for a couple of weeks now and is performing admirably. It's a huge step forward from our previous one. Handles a lot of work, is quiet, and produces a good amount of food.
