br>At first, we tried Fax server on a Windows 2008 server, then on a Windows 2016 server. At best, the performance was inconsistent; we subscribed to an online fax service, which worked well, but the cost quickly added up with the large volume, so I began looking for a better solution. I came across CimFAX at that point. I was hesitant to buy an unknown piece of equipment, but it seemed to be a good fit for my needs, so I took a chance and ordered the CimFAX C5 model from Amazon. It was the wisest choice I've ever made. br>br>The initial setup is very straightforward; Simply connect it to your network and install the appropriate driver. That is all there is to it. multi-br>Multi-br>Multi-br>Multi-br>Multi friendly to the user: We can easily accommodate 15 employees on this server at the same time. br>Server and Remote Desktop Services are available: To access the server, all of my company's employees use remote desktop. It's also very easy to set that up. Everyone who uses that server has immediate access to CimFAX after I installed the driver on Windows Server 2008 and configured individual users using the administrator account. Later on, we added a Windows 2016-based second server. I tried installing Windows 2008 again, but it didn't work this time. After that, I contacted CimFAX's Tech Support. They were quick to respond and even helped me set up the system by remote accessing my server. Extremely pleasant and competent. br>Since March of this year, we've been using a CimFAX machine. And, for the most part, without problems. The server became unresponsive on occasion; we're not sure if it's a CimFAX or a network issue, but all it takes is a simple unplug and re-plug to fix the problem. We miss having a cover page function, but CimFAX allows you to load a cover page before loading the document you want to fax. As a result, there isn't much of a concern. It would be even better if it had a cover page function. When our employees first use it, one thing always annoys them: br>br> The user name is case sensitive. br>Here's what I'd suggest: If you have any problems or questions, CimFAX tech support will be there to help you; you won't have to struggle alone, which is a rare occurrence in the world of technology. br>br>This product has exceeded my expectations!.
I discovered this after a lot of troubleshooting on the SBS server. It is, first and foremost, simple to put into practice. Connect to the device and set up the network settings after plugging it in. Finally, on all users' computers, install a single application that allows them to right-click on a document and select fax, or use the traditional Windows File – Print – select fax printer. Please take notice! I also set up a fax Exchange mailbox and forwarded all faxes to that email address, giving me a total of five connections to the device. Then you mapped that shared mailbox to all of your users. Make sure you have the right product for your customers. The technical assistance was outstanding! I called and emailed a few times, and they were very helpful and resolved my issues. This is an excellent product; don't waste your time with a traditional fax; this is far superior.
Fax Server is excellent. The technical assistance provided is unrivaled. If you need a device like this, I strongly advise you to go with them.
I like how the os compatibility works on both Mac and Windows. It's very stable and simple to use.
From SBS2011 server, migrated a client. This is an easy-to-use fax server in a box. Doesn't have a cover sheet (but there is a workaround) and only sends faxes as pdf via smtp (we need tif), but it met our other requirements.
I received it, went to set it up, and it wouldn't work with my Mac. I tried downloading the program again, but it wouldn't work, so I returned it.
