Questions & Answers

My subwoofer volume is low, will the BBE882i increase it?

If you are looking for something to boost your bass, you can use either a Peavey Komos or a Behringer UltraBass EX1200 or a DBX120XP connected to your line together with the BEE882i.

Could you tell me if this device runs on 240V energy? This device must be shipped to a south Asian country where the electricity is 240 volts. ?

There is no way for me to know. In the specification it does not specify voltage operation

It does not have a power processor loop, so I need to connect my bbe 282ir amp to the fosi da2120c. ?

An input from BBE is connected to an amplifier

If I connect the 882i before a dbx 260 driver, would the sound be better?

According to what I understand, it's best to have it at the end of your chain before the board. That's how I have mine, and it is a wonderful While I am noticing a slight improvement to my sound, it is not drastic.

Audio engineering of the highest quality
5/5

It's dumb to design products. Audio engineering of the highest quality. Sonic Maximizers like this BBE 882i Sonic Maximizer really do add sparkle and impact This is especially true of The vocals really sound brighter because of it. In contrasting Sonic Maximizer technologies, BBE discusses how they differ from "exciter" devices, which add harmonics to the sound. This is what we agree on. The Aphex Exciter (which is awesome) and the BBE Sonic Maximizer are quite different from each other. It should be made clear that the BBE Sonic Maximizer is NOT a replacement for the Aphex Exciter. It is important to use both of them at once Sonic Maximizer at the end of the audio chain after the Exciter. In addition to the BBE Sonic Maximizer adding brightness to thin ballads, the Aphex Exciter's "Big Bottom" makes them more robust. Together, they make a great pair. It is dumb to engineer products. In order for the BBE Sonic Maximizer to function properly in a professional audio environment, the following components must be included The rack mountable products feature professional connectors (XLR and TRS), professional signal levels (+4 dBu balanced), and use rack mounted hardware. The front panel design stands out for its fire engine red painted panel along with its rounded child safety knobs, almost as if it could be a toy for a child. We achieve this result because we love each other Relationship with a lot of baggage. Thank you for your kind words about the front panel. Dear BBE, PLEASE fix this! Here are two thoughts that may be of interest to you.

First, we briefly described "professional audio" devices above. To make it clear, the "consumer audio" environment consists of the following Inbalanced by 10 dB vs equilibrium). Audio devices used for private listening should be connected to professional audio equipment by means of line level converters. Rols MB15b Promatch ($56 here on Amazon) is what we use for matching. The idea of folks connecting them directly is on our radar, but we don't have any experience with it, nor do we need to be installed. 2) Second, the BBE Sonic Maximizer represents a real advancement in audio engineering technology. It is called envelope phase correction in technical terms. According to BBE, little is said about this subject, so if you'd like to dig deeper, try searching the following three terms It is recommended you use 'BBE' and '282IR' combined with 'manual' As you might expect, without the quotes. The PDF manual for the BBE 282i Series of sonic maximizers will be one of the results from this search. There is a page on "The BBE Process" in that manual. I think it's a great problem they solved if you like technology.

I will be able to hear the difference in my stereo system
4/5

The stereo system I use at home has this on it. This is the audio portion of our home theater system. In addition to being a professional gear piece, this is often used in commercial PA systems. In the days when I played guitar, they were a must-have. And now that we use one for our home stereo system, I feel the same way. While I was looking at the DJ model, which had 2 knobs, and was also black, I noticed that it was much quieter when I checked the specs. A lot of transparency can be found in this 882i. There is no visible evidence of it. It's effect can be described as adding a little 'depth' to my computer system, but I am not sure exactly what it does. Maybe that's not very helpful, but that's what I would describe it as. There was a reason why I did not give it 5 stars. The first thing we notice is that it is I'm so angry! If this were to be installed in the rack at the back of the house for a big PA rack of components, it probably wouldn't be so horrific, but for my home stereo, it's just kind of a bore. There is probably a second reason related to that first one, which is that the lights on it are so brilliant! While I can see why this might be a good idea for a piece of PA gear, for my little set up, I find those lights Several small pieces of blue masking tape are covering the lights at this time. Although it isn't intended for this purpose, I am using it for it anyway. Even though the color is red and the lights are bright, I can live with it considering how it affects the sound of our system. * If you plan to add one of these to your home stereo, make sure your amp or pre-amp is already set up to work with it A correct connection is present on the amplifier. As a result, the new 'Tape Monitor' connections do not function as they did in the past. The rating is therefore a 4 star, even though it would be a 5 thanks I give it 5 stars for the audio quality but 3 stars for the.

There is a lot of headroom for sound
4/5

There is something I would like to add. I used sonic enhancers with all of the systems I assembled. As of the end of my marathoneering career, I had one last unit I acquired the 200, it is also a good amplifier, however, after a year or so there was a problem with the left channel button, I had to manually move the button to make it work again. The button at the bottom of the ex-phone is pretty low quality My decision was to go with the BBE as it does not have all the buttons and switches that the ex-has This device is just over 200, but it does the job quite well. I love the way this unit is built, it's well constructed, with solid knobs and power switch compared to the old unit A balanced spectrum of XLR inputs and outputs is also provided. The sonic enhancement option works quite well. I saw a vast improvement in low end, and tighter bass. However, for high end it did not have such a significant effect. Please note that I am running an equalizer before Not like a marathon exhaust system, I would expect this unit to last for a very long time As a whole, this unit is a great addition to any system, but it is recommended to use an equalizer prior to this unit to get the best quality.

At first I was very disappointed
4/5

This product wasn't disappointing but I wasn't as excited about it as I was expecting! With the Maximizer on, my system sounds dull and muddy, so I should remove It did sound a bit crisper in the treble, but it sounded awful in the bass. As soon as I turned it off, my equalizer (which costs less than the Maximizer) came back to life and sounded excellent. A lack of an equalizer might be beneficial for a while, but for the cost, you still lose out. Initially, I seated the Maximizer on a shelf in the box due to its exceptional sound quality. Later, I placed the Maximizer after my equalizer and it made a bigger I really like the sound now and the volume is adjustable and clean. Now that the results are in, I am satisfied.

What you get is sparkel and bottom
5/5

I have created my second Sonic Maximizer. In the past few years, I purchased a used BBE 362 from a guy on Craigslist and matched it with my SWR 750X bass head, and it was amazing how its character and delivery altered the tone of My favorite part of the book was the ending. Thus, I purchased the BBE 882i and added it to my Crown XLS 1500 power amp and SansAmp Tech 21 RBI preamp and when I played my music again I noticed much more sparkle and bottom end. Sonic maximizers are an essential part of my bass head sets, and I will not be without one.
