Questions & Answers
Unbalanced 1/4" stereo I/O is ganged on the 382i; The 482i has unbalanced 1/4" I/O on its own, which is ideal for semi-professional applications. Balanced jacks are not required for professional applications.
It adjusts the low and high frequency timing. It functions in a similar way to an enhancer, but without adding any harmonic distortion to the mix.
The distance between the inputs is approximately 2cm, and the distance between the outputs is approximately 5. Channels A and B are separated by 5".
Thank you very much for your query. Although the 882i has 23 dbU of headroom and the 482i has 18 dBu, I don't believe the sound quality is different.

If you need to equalize the room, do so first; this is not an equalizer or a replacement for all of the other adjustments you'll need to make to your listening environment. It's more akin to a pinch of salt and pepper in a gourmet dish. br> The controls at 1 and 12 o'clock are what I use. It's very easy to go overboard. Also, according to BBE tech support and my own experience, the bass control works well into the mid-range. range . up to and including 1 kHz The treble control gives the extremely high end more definition. Everything has a more open, detailed sound to it. Despite the fact that I'm using it with a few high-profile clients, With less expensive equipment, it achieves the same results. If you already have a good system, this box will make it even better, and at the street price, it's a bargain! A box filled with "magic"!.
It arrived quickly and functions exactly as advertised. Don't be fooled by those who claim this is just an EQ; there's a lot of information available about this type of effect unit, so read up if you don't think it's a useful sound improvement tool; it's become indispensable to me. It simply makes a huge difference. I believe it is one of the reasons why people enjoy my music choices.
I'm very pleased with this small device, which functions similarly to an equalizer. However, I notice that the low end does not "lose" gain; rather, it appears to clean up that very low end rumble [I have a small room with poor acoustics], and the high end does the same. There is no gain added; only cleaner and brighter frequencies above 1500k are present. I had my doubts. However, it does what it says and I am 100% satisfied with it.
This unit appeals to me a great deal. It may be lacking in some configuration features, but it sounds fantastic. br>It had to be quiet, which was one of my criteria for selecting this processor. This unit has a very low noise level. br>As an aside, I dropped it while putting it in the rack. As a result, all four pots on the front panel snapped. When I called BBE, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable representative. He provided me with free replacement controls and knobs. It was a pleasure to work with this company.
If you're familiar with the BBE process, you're aware that it primarily "brightens" the sound of instruments while also clarifying the higher end. This processor, like all the others I've tried from BBE, performs admirably. There are only two cautionary notes that I must make: First, because it's easy to overdo the BBE processing, I'd recommend starting with the lower settings and gradually increasing until you find a comfortable balance. You might need to adjust the settings in different rooms if you're taking this on the road and to gigs. Second, I've discovered (as with other BBEs) that if you plug two instruments into the processor, the overall volume will be lower than if you plugged it directly into an amp. On these occasions, the processor appears to have some difficulty with output. Still, it's a good investment.

Although it appears to enhance "highs" and "lows," this is not a tone control device; you can't get the crisp clarity on vocals that this device provides by simply turning up the treble, and the bass it provides is much more defined and deep than simple EQ. With my vintage RCA 77DX ribbon mic, I use mine to get a big sound. On my condenser mics, it also works beautifully. However, I believe it is ineffective when used with dynamic microphones. Indeed, it degrades the sound quality of my Sennheiser e835. So give it a shot with your condensers and ribbons. The end result will amaze you. I give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. By the way, the least expensive model performs just as well as the most expensive.
br>Essentially, if you do not have this device, you are missing sound in your system. br>br>Even if you have spent a lot of money and have good ears, you will hear things you never knew you were missing. br>It can be used with a DVD player, a UV soundbar, and music amplification. You won't be without one once you've mastered his magic.
