A little knowledge can go a long way I can't believe how powerful it is! The drum may not make you super impressed if you are a complete beginner. Once you have done some light tuning, you will be pleased with the result. You can leave). I decided just to go for the actual installation instead of the single-sided taped on option) Blow the machine down, clean, lube, and re-assemble it. It's obvious that for a snare at this price, the hardware is not going to be perfectly fixed and tight, and that Despite the included heads, even with the included heads, this is a whole lot better than anything included in a Mendini or other kids' kit. The little device will become an indispensable part of your normal setup or a lightweight travel kit with a little practice. Having played for 25 years, I now have a new love for this little instrument. For most users, I recommend fresh heads, and while doing so, you should tighten up the hardware screws inside, and clean and lubricate all the lugs before you reattach them. Snares should be checked for any sharp edges and if necessary should be filed. The snare latch needs to be lubricated. The following services (remember that they will likely void your warranty if one exists) are available for a professional makeover My solution was to glue and clamp the wrap's seam back together, after removing the double-sided tape, and to custom bend the logo to contour the drum Tape that has two sides. Adding a little mineral oil, the faux grain comes to life in the light and makes the little drum look quite The interior of the drum was also lightly oiled with linseed oil, but that was a choice I made based on preferences for preserving my drums. The tone of the conversation may have changed, but I'm not sure. Those who use Tung oil sometimes use it as well. The holes in all screws needed to be filed free of debris, and all hardware attached to the project was sealed with blue Loctite. It was possible to reposition some of the springs straight and grease them with silicone after some of them were cockeyed. Tossing the nearly worthless 1/4" ribbons on the snare and cutting some fiber, I gave it a good look- A 5/8" piece of fake leather is infused with fake leather. There are sharp edges on the wires of the included snare that also had to be trimmed because they are sloppily soldered. A latch that has been thoroughly cleaned works MUCH better than one that has been It literally takes me a couple of seconds to put a Remo coated powerstroke on top and an ambassador on the bottom. It is an excellent addition to ghost notes and even has good bite. This snare is worth at least three times as much as I paid for it. As far as I'm concerned, especially after I spent almost as much on heads as I did on the drum, it's a great deal. This program is actually pretty good for almost every kind of genre I throw at it, whether it's jazz or In my setup, I keep my Griffin tuned half a step in between my smaller 13" piccolo snare and my larger 14" regular. With this micro drum, not only do I have a convenient travel drum and tutoring drum, but I can also keep it set up near my regular drum kit and have a second snare. This unit is capable of keeping up with what's going on. The material cuts through my Zildjian A cymbals easily. Please note that lightweight stands for 10" snares cost only $30 on Amazon, doubling the price for the next day. The pack comes with a bonus stick bag as well as braces. Taking everything into account, I spent just over $100 plus a little time. I'm very happy with the results!.
I would have loved to have seen a more sturdy boot here, but the lugs and t-nut are cheap and flimsy Even when a rod is super tightened, it will still hold up. It wasn't necessary for them to strip. The headstock on the bottom is left the way it is for now I put an EVANS G2 coated head on it. I love the sound of this snare. It took some time to tune it because the bearing edges are a little rough. I can't believe how good it sounds once it is tuned. This is a very loud, punchy, accurate voice! I've got a nice addition to my set now! The design looks good as well!.
The pop of this snare is as good as the name suggests,.
After you tune it up, it has a tight popcorn snare sound.
It is a nice product. It is reasonably priced.
There's nothing special about this snare except that it's cheap. Using it for sound experiments is a lot of fun. To make the head significantly more tight I ripped the beater head off, lined the sides with newspaper, then tightened the beater and snare heads to my satisfaction. The sound of the firecracker is now evident.
With it, I am able to keep time for my singing and strumming group, and I find it very handy for quick and easy transportation.
The price is very reasonable for this kind of snare. Sound quality is good.
