While I wasn't in school, I needed a good snare drum for my studio apartment. This was a 300 improvement over my previous concert snare. I could see parts of the guts and lugs loosening or falling off if you were doing gigs and or moving equipment, but for someone like me who doesn't gig or move, I think it's a perfect suite. br>br>I could see parts of the guts and lugs loosening or falling off if you were doing gigs and or moving equipment. Parts are made in China and are generally suspect, but they serve me well.
I liked that the snare drum came with a drum key; the snare would be a good starter drum for someone who is just getting started with drums. My recommendation would be to upgrade the batter and resodent side head, as well as the snare wires, to better ones than what came on the snare. off and butt plate, as well as possibly the snare hoops It's an excellent product in general.
I wasn't sure about a piccolo snare at first, but at $40, this one has proven to be well worth it thus far. I haven't tried tuning it yet, but it has a nice sound when played with brushes. The part that holds the snares in place is plastic, but it's held up for at least a few days.
This isn't something you'd want to play live.
Low-cost and high-quality audio.
I was a little wary of this drum at first, but it fit the bill for what I needed, so I ordered it. It is, without a doubt, far more than I anticipated. It only needed a minor tune-up, and it now sounds fantastic! I'm not sure why you'd want to replace the heads; they're perfectly adequate; you get what you pay for, but in this case, you're getting a lot more for your money. My drum's finish is perfect, and it's also quite stylish! The hardware is of good quality; the lugs are a little tight, but I was able to get the drum up to a good pitch without lubricating them! Buy it. Your purchase will make you very happy!.
The drum heads aren't the best, but that's to be expected. The snare has an awful ring that I had to dampen. The lack of an internal muffler causes the snare to ring loudly when played. I'm saying that because it's a $40 snare, you get what you pay for.
Not what I had hoped for. I knew I was taking a risk by purchasing one for such a low price, but I decided to take the risk. My main gripe is with the poor quality of the parts. Some tension rods do not even tighten in the same way. The tension rods are also devoid of washers. The snare drum toss- The quality of off is very poor. Because it didn't come with a damper, I'll need to find a way to control the tone. I'm going to try and upgrade some things and see how it goes (heads, snare strand, throw-back). off, and washers on tension rods).
