These 10 lug thin rims are 6 ply (2 maple sandwiches between two birch sandwiches) and look really nice. This 14x8 features nice low end wood that is usually lacking in toms as well as the ability to be played as a tom. My top had been sprayed with SD Dry and I placed a 40-wire strainer beneath it, but it still worked fine. Using a moongel gets the tone tight and fat (a leather wallet would be even more 70's) and it's already started to sound quite good after a couple of hours. In my opinion, the hoops don't need to be replaced, and the throw is good enough. This is a great choice if you have a place to store it.
For 32 years, I have been a drummer. My favorite deep shell maple snare is a deep shell maple snare. This is a great deal! I replaced the cheap Remo heads that came with it with my Evans Genera Dry batter and it worked great! The Evans case has been ruled clear. It feels good when I pull rim shots with a deep pop. This is just a solid snare for my style of music (metal/classic It is not possible to lose stick response when it is tuned tight and right. It's got a stained finish and black hardware that I like a lot.
After a few initial tweaks, I am completely satisfied with the sound of it now after playing it for a few weeks. This drum has the deep crisp snap that I have been looking for since both heads are tuned to the same lug frequency (around 229 Hz). It's not that different heads couldn't enhance the sound it's just that "as is" is pretty good as it is.
When you pull this thing from the box, it's going to This snare is not the best in terms of quality, but it is a great addition to a snare collection if you are taking care to acquire snares with a wide range of DW drums are a dream come true for someone who plays DWs, owns DW drums, and lives by his brand. There is so much depth in this thing! The tonal range is on the lower end, and if you crank the head, the snare does get a bit of a ringing (but manageable with a little drum tack). You could make this drum sound even better by changing the heads on top and bottom!.
As I looked at the top rim, I noticed that it was There is no problem with the bottom rim. It is a little cheap to turn off the throw off switch. There's a good chance I'll break up with you. A new strap is needed for the snare right now. Evan's drum heads were also replaced with the stock As a whole, I'm pleased with the sound and look of the snare. I'm going to recommend it to other players, but make sure to upgrade the heads and.
Batter Evans has a heavyweight title. I replaced the factory wires with tama snappy wires because the factory wires had sharp edges that were cutting into the head. This is an Evans 500 clear snare side. A deep throaty growl can be heard in this drum from the changes it has had made. I found what I was looking for.
It was a good move. It has a deep and dark sound when you tone it down a tiny bit. The set was more awesome than ever after this addition. One of the things I always dreamed of having and it was truly a dream realized. Zeppelin covers will look great with this.
For the price, this is a great sound system.
