Yes, if you are a small person. For me, the strap is too short to use it as an over-the-shoulder strap

The 230 fits me well and I don't have to adjust it. As long as your son is under 200, it will work for him as well.
Though I was too young to use one, I was able to use one just fine when I was eleven years old.

It does not come with a second buckle, otherwise I would have given it a five star review. A new one can be easily added. You can see the picture here. I really like how this works. The problem is that it doesn't happen.
I recently bought it because my old strap (also Ludwing) had gone missing and I had it for over 26 years. Fortunately, the strap reappeared and now I have two. It will be the first thing I present to my son when he starts in the school band.
I was looking for something just like this. My role in a show is as follows We are a metal style band, and this is what we use for snare drums. The length of the bracelet is adjustable You can wear it if you are under four feet tall. From people taller than 5 feet to people taller than 6 feet. It is made from nylon, which gives it a very long lifespan. Due to its black hue, you will not have to worry about getting it We use the left side hook to secure our snare straps in our marching band because we have our snares on our left knees. The strap also comes in a right side option, if the drum is on the right leg of your band. Overall, I couldn't think of a single flaw with this strap, and I also believe that you wouldn't find a better one anywhere else.
Black straps of this quality are hard to find anywhere else and this is the only store I can find them at a reasonable price. Purchasing a couple of these every year is part of my routine.
While there were no issues with the snare drum, it didn't support it as well as we would have liked.
I have a different collection of material from Ludwig than I had.
The ability to unhook from one side is a big plus for me. One side has a closed spring hook while the other side has a spring hook that's open for when I need to remove it. A concert is a great time to go.
