Can you tell me how thick the shell is?

Because it is made of chrome over brass, I did not think it was a good choice. With a broad tuning range and amazing sound and playability, it is hard to beat

If you are looking for a snare that can do it all, look no further. A little bit shy of the 6 almost got it Even though I had intended to use a 5-inch snare, I couldn't resist the idea of an 8-inch deep snare. Amazing, I was expecting a lower tone from this snare but nooo, crank the eight lugs up tight and this thing cracks and pops. Or loosen it up and you get the richest deep thud you've ever heard. if you're in the market for a snare, you won't find a better one for that price. Hammerd Brass Sledgehammer (450$? For me, the only drum I can compare this to. This product, with it's made in the USA construction, makes the cut for those who don't mind to spend over 800$ on an imported snare. Aside from that, the wire clamp is very well made. It does a good job of holding the wire tension where you want it.

I have never used a snare as good as this for Immediately after buying this, I was able to put Evans Dry heads on it, and then I saved the named heads for later

I'm snared in the TICC trap

It has a nice thick sound to it. There is an abundance of fat and overtones in this song. In addition to its only con, it has a lot of ring and you need to dampen it with moon gels or using a snare patch from the m80 to reduce it. The dampening on this snare makes it massive.

5 and a half by 14 is the size I bought. I changed the head immediately to one of the Remo Emperors. There is great intone and volume response from the snare. The dynamics kick will work great for drummers who enjoy playing drums. Located on Amazon for $299, the snare is pictured and advertised as such. There is no picture of a snare with a deadly die in it Hoops cast in the air. You won't get the hook with that snare, I doubt it a lot There is an additional $100 charge for cast hoops. If you desire, you can always purchase dies Cast new hoops and replace the old ones.

The drum you sent me was better because of the price, since the Ludwig drum I ordered for 199 was not available

I was shocked when they decided to charge $2000 but I'm now glad they did because the drum sounds and looks A Remo controlled sound head was replaced with an Evans 500 at the bottom, and an Evans 500 at the top. I installed a 40 wire snare and a P-dampener to replicate the classic Alex Van Halen snare tone. I recently changed the drum head to an Evans coated hydraulic one and installed an old school internal dampener. I absolutely love the way it sounds now after the 86 throw off.

Dang, name is a pain! the price is too good to pass up! This is an excellent bell sound! It Speaks for itself! Ludwig Speaks for itself! It is Extremely Well-Made! The eight by fourteen size appeals to me a lot! Even with tight turns, there is still a very warm sound! This is a must-have!.
