There are no die cast hoops on it.
This item has three flanges. I like it a lot.
There is a price difference between the black magic snare and the black beauty snare because the former is a black magic snare. With this snare, you get a lot for your money! Into the batter head, I put evans head. enjoy it a great deal. Having played snares for over 45 years, I have plenty of experience.

I can hear it so clearly! A pearl sensitone steel and a Yamaha birch, both 14 x 5, are in my collection. Five pork pies, each 13 x 5, followed by five pork pies, maple. My playing style can be described as mostly jazz/rock, much lighter in nature and less inclined to emphasize The maple sticks I use are maple ones. For most of my daily use, I use a stage custom kit in fusion sizes up to 16". Recently, I've noticed that some songs and styles really benefit from a strong kick drum and snare. It took me until trying this drum to realize that I had no idea what it I am amazed by the sheer volume of this drum. However, this record has a very pleasing warmth in the low midrange that is a delight to listen to. Other than this, I have not been able to get a good, warm sound from my snares. I always felt that at the time I played Bonham-style grooves or straight rock, something was Although I tried a wide variety of micing and mixing approaches, I was able to get close to the sound I wanted with a big fat snare drum insert, but I can already tell this drum will deliver far more than what I require In my opinion, it is a testament to the big fat snare drum insert that came even close to winning the competition. As of now, I'm loving the response this drum gives me. The tuner I have now is around medium, but I believe it will still have a good low-end tone even when tuned higher. It's still up to me to figure out what to do about the snares. The strainer that's on this snare isn't really to everyone's taste, I hear. As of now, I am in agreement. There's too much clunky motion and stiffness in the throw off, as it doesn't happen instantly. I've been trying to tame the amount of vibration in the snare drum. There could be some of that due to the sustain that I am not used However, I'd initially like to get that dialed in and to be more crisp and responsive. So, I've got some work left to do, but I'm in the ballpark. However, one thing I didn't take into account was that with a snare this loud and rich, you also have to consider the size and consistency of your drums. The snare will be featured as a standalone piece with just the large toms in a paired down kit. The size of this thing is astounding, it dwarfs the standard SC toms with the snare disengaged. I removed some of the moon gels and it sounds better, but I don't think I can just swap this drum in to the kit without retuning the toms a bit as well.
It is a Black Beauty in every sense of the word. My drum kit is so similar to the one on them that most people can't tell the difference. I love the sound of it. The tone of this song is incredibly warm. I was surprised by how dry the drum is for a metal shell, and it has pleasant overtones rather than harsh ones. The vibrations have a nice, controlled sustain, as it has a nice, controlled rhythm. There is a good punch at the low end. I really like it if the tuning is in the medium.
With this drum, you can tune within a large range and the sound it produces is incredible. The drums are very well recorded and tune very easily, and the overtones do not bother me either. It is an affordable instrument with a high level of quality. There is nothing I love more than It ranks right up there with my cherry wood DW collectors' drum set.
Snare I've ever heard or owned hands down the best of all. There is no better snare on the market. The design is amazing. The price is right, and it looks great at the same time. Snares of the same style as the old school.
That sounds good to me. THIS IS NOT A SUPRAPHON. I DO NOT think black beauty should exist. I do not recommend surge lighting. *BR>COMES OUT OF THE BOX UNTUNED, BUT SOUNDS GOOD. SLOW DRUM THAT IS OVER $300 (SUPER LOW CLASS). WE HAVE A LOT TO DESERVE FROM THE HEADS THAT COME WITH IT. You've got a nice looking website. DRUMS ARE OK, BUT THERE IS NO VALUE FOR THE MONEY. I think it could be cheaper or pay attention to detail a little bit more. It would be great to have an EVANS HD Dry coated head with a 3mil single ply on the bottom. I encourage you to give it a shot. It's like paying to see John Bonham, but it turns out that Lars Ulrich is on the bill instead.
Take it on sale/buy new heads/don't expect the Black Beauty.
It really projects. I played a couple shows with it last week. For most of my snares, I use a snare weight. This snare wasn't in need of it. This ring is lovely and resonant! It's amazing how well this snare works!.
The thing I'm using is awesome. There will never be another snare for me to use. A black beauty is not needed. There is a Black Magic that is half the price and is absolutely incredible.
Since I started playing Ludwig drums over 40 years ago, I have never been able to find I've found the one!.
