Is this a "thin" crash, as the name suggests?

This is, indeed, a sliver of a crash. It has a quick decay and is extremely responsive. The sound quality is excellent. I own the entire Zildjian K collection.

Would you use this cymbal in a rock and roll or blues situation? I have a 16-inch A Custom crash and am looking for something a little darker and heavier. ?

Drummer designed specifically for you. I used to play a lot of metal and have recently become a jam drummer, so the K Series is my new favorite. These have a very warm and clean sound to them. There's no thrashing in your head at 21kHz like the A-. Customs. They also have a fantastic feeling to them. On the bow edge, it has a really nice spring to it.
