Paiste's Swiss Sound Development Team redesigned the PST 5 to take into account current musical trends.
Only minor visual changes were made to the PST 5, but their fundamental sonic value was significantly altered.
The cymbals are lighter, resulting in a deeper, warmer sound while still retaining its bright fundamental character.

The long resonance is incredible

If you're a hard hitter, the PST 5 has a great sound and will last you a lot longer than a PST 3. They both sound fantastic, but I had a PS3 paiste crash, and it quickly split into two after about a year. These cymbals are absolutely stunning!.
