They sound incredible and cut through the music. What's my little secret? RUDE is a word that comes to mind when I think of people who are rude RUDE thins are a medium weight cymbal, not a thin cymbal. So, as long as you're using regular crash cymbals and not heavy or "metal" weights, you'll be fine. The thins are fantastic cymbals for recording and live situations, so don't be put off by the RUDE designation. They don't have as many options as they used to. They're not as multidimensional as some cymbals, but they're hard to beat for rock, pop, and other genres.
