The tone is dark and has a long life
5/5

For the past 28 years, I've worked as a professional drummer. There are a lot of "top tier" cymbals in my collection. For the past ten years, I've primarily been a Sabian customer, but I do own a few Zildjian K's A's and A Customs. This is an excellent cymbal. It has a dark full tone that decays slowly. The bell will give you a dark cutting dry short ding if you ride it. This cymbal is what I use when I need a bell sound but don't want the ride to get dirty. I've used this cymbal in a variety of settings and situations, and it never fails to impress, whether in a small or large space. When played lightly, the cymbal produces full low undertones, and when it's time to let loose, its low dark punch can be intimidating. It's my new favorite cymbal to hit with a 16-inch cymbal because it fills up the space so nicely when hit with a smaller cymbal. When I need a solid dark statement, I reach for the 17-inch version.

In a rock or larger sound setting, this guitar has incredible versatility
5/5

This is a great cymbal for a big sound, but the lower volume dynamics don't seem to bring out the full character of it. It reacts to the stick quickly, with a bright explosion that quickly fades into a darker decay with a beautifully blended undertone. It's purely a darker cymbal at low volumes, with the bright characteristics much more subdued. The lathing on the middle layer is interesting; it's scratchy and eats up the tips of my sticks (wood tip) if I play it frequently, and playing from the outside edge produces too much wash for this to be a good sticking cymbal; however, the bell sounds great and has a crisp and clear punch to it. br>br>I have two sets of shoes. ups, and in every iteration of my big kit, I play pretty much nothing but rock and roll, and this cymbal was drafted as my main crash in the first round. I don't have a preference for any particular brand; my kit includes Meinl, Zildjian, Dream, Istanbul, and Sabian cymbals, and this is my favorite new addition. This cymbal would be an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys larger crashes, faster decays, and a wide range of sound.

I'm the guy who owns almost every cymbal on the planet
5/5

I'm the guy who has pretty much bought every cymbal on the planet, tried them out, and returned the ones I didn't like; this one, however, is a keeper. It's great for crashing, but it doesn't last forever. It cuts through the mix without being overbearing. For reference, I have an 18 AAX Fast Crash on the left, a 19 AAX Fast Crash on the right, and an HHX Xplosion Crash to the right of that. It's the only combination I've been able to stick with.

This is a fantastic addition to the Sabian AAX collection
5/5

I have both 16" and 18" Sabian AAX X-Series in my collection. plosion crashes look great with my brass, and this 17" Fast Crash does too. It has a higher pitch than my 16" crash, particularly at the top end. It sounds a little "lighter" than my other X-Men X-Men X-Men X-Men X-Men plosion crashes, owing to the fact that it is a little thinner. It makes a quick speech and then moves out of the way - This is exactly what a quick crash is supposed to accomplish. It appears to go well with my AAX X-Series 16" and 18" AAX X-Series AAX X-Series AAX X plosion performs exceptionally well when it comes to crashing. If you bought the 16/18" Sabian AAX crash pack like I did and need another cymbal, this 17" Fast Crash is a good choice. br>br>If you are a Zildjian player (like I was), the Sabian AAX series is a good sounding series, a little darker than the Zildjian A Custom series. I purchased the Crash Pack because I needed a new cymbal setup and found the Sabian AAX pack to be the most convenient. br>br>It arrived quickly and in good condition. Thank you very much!.

But it has a nice sound
3/5

As a long-time Sabian fan, it's no surprise that these cymbals sound great, but given the model's name, I was hoping for something more spectacular or explosive. Even though it's a nice complement to my other 16" AAX Stage Crash, the AAX XPlosion doesn't sound any bigger or louder. br>Having said that, an AAX Xplosion 18" might have been a better choice, but due to a shoulder condition that makes hitting heavier cymbals difficult and painful for me, I tend to avoid crash cymbals larger than 16". Regardless, if it's Sabian, it'll be worth a shot, and sound taste, like wine taste, is highly subjective.

This cymbal is fantastic! It's an awesome cymbal to play, with a nice bright sound and a little more depth and darker sound than the Zildjian A custom 18 inch, which is nice because it adds variety to your kit without sounding tinny

WITH AN OVERTONE, THE COLOR IS FAIRLY DARK
4/5

This was purchased to replace my 16" Zildjian Medium Crash as my primary crash/ride (after many years of Zildjian, I'm slowly transitioning to Sabian). This cymbal was a lot darker and lower in pitch than the Zildjian 16" cymbal. For this job, I needed a higher-pitched cymbal, and this wasn't it. Instead, I used my trusty 18" Zildjian Rock Crash, which was higher pitched than the other two. In any case, I use the 18" AAX as my go-to dark cymbal sound. It has a rich sound, but there is an overtone in the mix that seems to get lost. The finish on this cymbal is even more brilliant than it appears in the photo.

This cymbal has a wonderful musical tone to it
5/5

These cymbals have such a wide range of expression. I'm no expert, but I was looking for crashes that didn't have a "gong" undertone, just a loud CRASH. This 16" is fantastic, as is the 19". When played softly, you can get a wide range of sounds, and full hits have a great quick explosion with no harsh high or low "zing" or "gong" after frequencies. Simply say CRASH. shhhhhhh. Perfect.
