Sure, why not? In fact, toss the heads that came with it out. The only thing that makes them sound bad are the heads; otherwise, they sound fantastic when tuned up. I was able to get our quads to a point where they were close to sounding like pearls.
Its sound is similar to that of a Pearl/Yamaha. It looks great when combined with other snares.
Your local hardware store will have the necessary replacement parts. It is the most cost-effective and best option for you.
For the top head, there is a soft clear head, and the bottom head has a clear head. There are only 22 snares on the bottom. 42 bottom snares and a hard head on top are typical for a marching band. Those are about $20 each if you buy them separately.

S is a decent drum of lower quality. It was a good deal at $199. This drum is not worth $290 to me. First and foremost, you must replace grads as soon as possible, as the ones on the list immediately deny. Useless. Make a habit of checking all screws on a daily basis because they can easily fall out. br>The side metal piece broke, and I'm waiting for a replacement from the manufacturer. They're serviceable drums that could use some attention. It was a good deal when it cost $199, but not anymore. Here's a visual representation of what I'm talking about. With the new heads tightened as much as possible without breaking the wooden core, they look and sound fantastic. Careful.
