This does apply to me, as well, and I found it to be a "one size fits all" formula. However, the cap comes with felt (to keep the Reed moist) and rubber ends on the arms to grip the mouth piece.
In buying this mouthpiece, I specifically wanted it to be used in conjunction with a hard rubber mouthpiece (Phil Barone). There are no fittings on it and I own a Beechler 7*. They have been made specifically for certain mouthpieces, according to my understanding of them. Using the FL ligs is compatible with your mouthpiece, you will need to check out their website or maybe join the Saxophonists group on Facebook to find out which ones are compatible. Thank God for you, my friend, and let me pray for you.

The sound is brighter and looks cool. This is my third traditional. I also have a rovner. It is very hard to set up, and it is about 100% harder to use than the traditional lig. We used a reed that uses all three, and this lig lets the sound come through well. It has become increasingly harder to remove the mouthpiece without loosening the ligation, and sometimes the plate that can be seen in the picture flops While it may take an extra minute to get the sound right, you can hear the Make a decision based on your own judgment Do you think the setup is worth it?.
The response I get from my mouthpiece is good, but I have difficulty with getting it properly set up. And good luck if you have to turn it a half turn to tune it up after it's set up, since it's easy to mis-adjust. In terms of tone, I feel like the reed is harder and louder than it was, maybe a quarter step harder. It could be handy if you have a reed that is starting to wobble. It is the set up issue that kills the deal My preference is to be able to slap a reed on quickly, knowing it is held on correctly and will remain in place. It is actually cheaper to buy a Vandoren M/O model and is a champ when it comes to holding the reed on (and I also really like the sound it produces). Having said that, I know some good players who enjoy using this wired device. No, I'm not one of them. I upgraded from two stars to three because two seems too negative. I mean, some folks seem to like it, so maybe I'm the only one.
