Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with Yamaha 5C mouthpieces?

It makes no sense to me why it would not. Despite not being made of metal, it is much more flexible, making it suitable for use with a wide variety of

Is it possible to get a metal mouthpiece with this ligature? There is a beechler mouthpiece in my possession. ?

Yes, of course. However, make sure you read the sizing information. It is generally slimmer to use metal mouthpieces. It is possible to use an alto size for a tenor. My Hite (hard rubber) fits an alto size.

Can you provide a cap for it?

The cap is included. Easy to install and quick to set up. It's really nice! I give it a thumbs

The Rovner Classic Dark 1RL compared to the A COMPARISON OF ROVNER CLASSIC DARK 1RL AND ROVNER MK III C1RL*br>*br>My favorite ligature previously was the Rovner Classic Dark 1RL
5/5

Despite the fact that it requires some practice to get nice sounding high notes, it gives the lower notes a deep, bass resonance. As it should be, it produces a warm, deep sound when inverted. By applying a wide area of pressure to the rubber bands, this device keeps the reed firmly in place, reducing Please re-read When it is inverted to "standard" lig position, it has a brighter sound, but I personally prefer it to be darker. Presented here is an alternative (nonconventional) If the reed is held in a telescoping (inverted) position, the end rods hold the edges and allow the center to vibrate freely. Nevertheless, I was thrilled to discover a new ligature. The Rovner MK III C1RL is amazing. The new version differs in a few ways from its predecessor. As opposed to its predecessor, whose large, smooth grip area was on the inside of the rubber bands, this one has a rougher, gripping texture on the inside that continues the length of the rubber band. The band has a split in the middle, making it possible for the two halves to be independent of one another, and a narrow, open channel between them that allows the reed to vibrate in a more natural way. Consequently, the timbre is more like that of an alto sax, with uniform voicing in both the bass and treble. My hands don't need a lot of concentration to get good notes on it, without having to concentrate too hard. The playing has become easier, the music is better, and I can play vibratos effortlessly on every note. It is easier to transition between the higher notes and the transitions between them. While the MK III is not as dark as the Classic Dark, its sonic quality is more broad and rich due to an increased number of My setup is as follows

. * Because I am playing a video game I can't promise your mileage will be the same A horn is more like a saxophlute, whereas the horn is more like a sax. In my comparison, I used a Key of G All Terrain Tenor Saxophone setup that was a permanent Rico B5 alto mouthpiece, a Légère Studio Cut Tenor 1, and a KR-52 alto mouthpiece. I use a Rovner MK III ligature, a synthetic reed, and my new 5-reed synthetic reed. Rovner MP cap fits snugly on the B5 because it is such a narrow MP. I use a couple of rubber bands to make sure the Rovner MP cap fits properly. Rather than placing the ligature marking on the MP at the curve of the reed file, I position it at the curve of the reed file. There are many musicians who use a slightly longer reed than a standard alto reed - a tenor instead of an alto reed, or a baritone instead of By adding more length to the reed, it fills out the lower notes more and has greater versatility. I'M ON BREAK- As long as it is in period. We are writing this review at the beginning of the trial because the Rovner 1RL and Rovner C1RL ligatures will take a couple of weeks to stretch in and conform to the Even so, I don't anticipate a significant change since I went through the same break-up as you did Rovner 1RL is in period with my old Rovner. Make sure that you tighten the screw before beginning to play.

This will greatly improve the quality of your sound! I am amazed! As a result of my lack of knowledge (always used the metal ligatures that came with my saxophone case), I have never given much thought to ligatures in the past, but this one I had no idea that a small adjustment could make such a tremendous difference in the quality of the sound and tone of my sax playing
5/5

The difference between night and day is pretty stark! As a comparison, the stock metal ligatures that come with the student case are the equivalent of buying a Pinto, whereas purchasing the Rovner ligature is the equivalent of Definitely worth the money!!.

I like this ligature a lot
5/5

When I was in high school, I started to learn the saxophone. I like this ligature a lot. As a teenager, I started playing the saxophone and have been playing it for the past eight years. When I was in college, I took a two-year break from my horn in order to focus on my The past 2 years have been a challenge for me, so I decided to relearn the saxophone. In high school, I was playing with a cheap metal ligature and mouthpiece, so I tried upgrading. My second purchase was a cheap leather ligature from Amazon for just $10, as well as a Meyer mouthpiece for my sax. It was an improvement, but I still had a lot of problems playing the notes and getting good sounds. The reason I thought it was because I lost my playing abilities was that I completely blamed I decided to replace the broken cheap ligature with a good one after it broke. The change was immediately noticeable when I received this Rovner ligature a few days ago. It is easier to get notes out with the new setup, as well as sounding way better. In the past, I have always had problems with the lower register, and I believe it has to do with my low-grade depression Ensure both the mouthpiece and ligature are of high quality. As I look back, I can see what a difference it makes having a good mouthpiece paired with a good ligature. All I need to do now is.

A good ligature, but not one of my favorites
4/5

While I appreciate the performance of this ligature, I prefer the sound I obtain from an Optimum Vandoren The sound that emanates from the Rovner seems to be too dark for my liking. I play a Yamaha 875 on my alto sax Using a Selmer Concept mouthpiece and Rico #3 reeds on an EX is capable of nice articulation. A bit better responsiveness and ease of playing with Vandoren ligatures is also noticeable. However I can see how the Rovner might be a good choice for band students who need to tame a wild animal This is an instrument or mouthpiece used to produce sound.

The quality is excellent
5/5

I have never played a saxophone ligature as good as this one. Specifically, it secures the reed very tightly so that all the energy and sound from the vibrations of the reed pass into the mouthpiece, resulting in a rich and full.

The ligature is very fine. This can be used with either a screw on the top or on the reed (the screw is Be sure to check the Rovner website before ordering. Ligature of great strength
5/5

The sound quality is good. A beginner, my daughter is 12 years old and I bought it for her. Her sound quality soared with this pair of headphones, which was both easy to use and made a significant difference. You know what I mean if you're a parent who has to listen to your child play their Saxophone. As a result, she used this method with almost no loud squeaks. A metal ligature is so much better for beginners than the traditional cheap ones. This combination of quality and affordability was the right decision for me since I didn't want to spend a lot of money.
