Questions & Answers
As a result of using the Rovner with my Yanigasawa metal mouthpiece, I had no success. The sound did not appeal to me. I wanted crisp, clean sound, so I settled on metal. It gave a warmer sound to use the Rovner. I had no problems with the fit of my Yani, since it is more slender than any other mouthpiece I have used.

My favorite part about this ligature is the sound, but I find it very difficult to place on the mouthpiece/reed in the correct spot. With the screw tightened, it pulls out of alignment with the metal part and therefore the metal part is thrown off-center in the I'll keep my other Rovners even though I might be doing it wrong.
Ligatures like this one are not to be disliked. Exactly what I was looking for! Especially in the lower register of my horn, I receive a fantastic tone and focused projection when I use the Jumbo Java mouthpiece and Rico Plasticover reeds. In my experience, I've tried a variety of Rovner ligatures, mouthpieces, and reed combinations and tried them all before choosing this set-up.
I really like the way the ligature looks. The reed stays in place very well because it is very sturdy. As a result, I did not give it 5 stars, since it does not have the sound I'm searching Having looked at this ligature, I just thought it sounded too dark for my Yani Alto to sound bright. The one on the left interests me a lot. I have tried setting the screw to my preference, but it hasn't worked.
The quality is excellent, and it is A great sound has been created. It is very easy to combine the reed and the mouthpiece.
I have been playing alto sax for a number of years, although my main instrument is clarinet. The sax I have is still a student model, but I have upgraded the mouthpiece to a Vandoren. I can now hear a huge difference in tone production after upgrading to this ligature. It is a fantastic ligature that I would highly recommend. In the meantime, Rovner has always been a great company for this type of Their clarinet ligatures and bass clarinet ligatures never let me down, and I've never had a bad experience with Rovner products.
We felt that the money we spent on these items was well worth it, and both teacher and student appreciated them.
This is a good The sound is focused when this is done.
Ligatures like this are excellent. The ability to project and project power was improved. If you are interested in getting it for your other mouthpieces, I recommend it.
