Questions & Answers

Is this valid for Van Doren's jumbo java A45 model?

Since I only have experience with clarinet mouthpieces, I can only recommend clarinet Clarinet mouthpieces are large enough to have room for larger pieces, since it tightens at the end of how big it gets. My colleagues have used them on standard hard rubber alto mouthpieces, but I never looked closely enough to see that they can be used on larger mouthpieces as well.

Can it be used with hard rubber mouthpieces as well or does it require metal mouthpieces?

In the past, I used it with two vandoren clarinet mouthpieces made of hard rubber. The Vandoren B40 Lyre Traditional Profile and now the Black Diamond(BD5). This makes a noticeable difference in the quality of the Putting it on is a bit awkward. I'm not sure how it works, however. It was recommended by a clarinet teacher. The alto sax is played by my niece, who I wanted to try it out. Don't know if the situation is similar

This would fit a Yamaha 5C, would it not?

Without a doubt! There is no issue with using ANY size of Boehm mouthpiece.

Do others have the same experience of the reed warping ?

It has been about six months since I was exclusively using this ligature and I do not have any negative experiences with it. I am not asking for an explanation of your experience, but would be interested to know what exactly is happening to you. Only two ridges run longitudinally down the center of the reed, so pressure is only applied along those ridges. There is only one possible "bending" effect that could be caused by a ligature - if your mouthpiece table is very narrow and the ligature is set really very It would be great if you could reply. It would be ideal if it were possible. You can press the 'br> or 'br> key to make this happen. (On Clarinet Bulletin Board as well as Paul Aviles)

Let's add one more ligature to the Generally, this ligature does an okay job sealing reeds to the table, but the sealing is hit and miss
3/5

Whenever I go into any job, I always do a suctions test and make sure I am ready. As this ligature doesn't seal entirely around every reed, it does not perform as effectively as other ligatures. The difference between a $5 reed and a $500 MP is that when it seals it sounds GREAT, but when it doesn't it sounds like trash. In a nutshell In a nutshell In a nutshell In a nutshell In a nutshell In a nutshell In a nutshell In a nutshell We are nbsp A Silverstein works ligature can seal and voicing all reeds more effectively, but it costs more. I suggest you go with their lower model model over their top model if you need to spend $100 on one of their ligatures. You don't need to worry about your reed moving when you adjust the mouthpiece with the BG DUO. This is to adjust your mouthpiece because the Silvestein can slide off You don't need rubber feet if you don't use them. There is no doubt that the feature of the BG DUO twin pulling screw is exceptional, I really like it. I think the price of the BG DUO is overpriced for a ligature that is hit or miss in its sealing ability. If you know you need to spend over $65, I would recommend either this ligature or one similar. The best way to get it is to wait for a sale or buy it second hand. And the different colours of plating for the different types of vocals. This is not a serious matter. In a nutshell In a nutshell.

I really like the look of this ligature! A new "upgraded" ligature purchase for me - I'm very happy with it The reviews I read were favorable, but I still liked the look of the piece The stylist (gold plated with a red accent)
5/5

Compared to the standard ligature I received with my horn, this is much easier to put on and take off, although I'm not sure whether it actually makes a difference in terms of Currently, I am using it in conjunction with a Selmer S-5 A mouthpiece for the alto saxophone that measures 80 C*. It is a great combination, I like it!.

Fit and sound are both good, but the installation is tricky
4/5

My understanding of the Meyer NY is that it is a standard-size mothpiece for alto saxophone. Also, I have been part of more than one scavenger hunt for saxophone accessory items. Some players who I liked playing on these were among the ones I looked up to, and even though I'm old enough to know that there's a lot more to the impact of the reed on a saxophone than the instrument itself. However, I had the money to buy them (they are not cheap) and I had the time to experiment with something new. I don't know what the heck to do. The first thing to note is I like it a lot. It is easier for me to adjust a single screw ligature on the instrument and it stays in place once it has been There is one that There is one thing it does not do, and that is to fit the mouthpiece well from the beginning. There is a good idea in the ridges that keep the mouthpiece slightly further away from the ligature, and this works on some other ligatures, too. This one requires some bends and pushing, etc. , to fit it firmly on the piece because of the thickness of the metal. Several metals are used to make this item. I was very happy with the performance once the ligature was in place with a reed on the table. There was no problem in moving the object quickly during a measure rest, and it stayed where it was placed. It's possible to remove the reed of some trumpets but not others, and to keep the mouthpiece on others. No, this isn't one of those situations. In response to a question about ligatures, one of my teachers said, "I think everybody should have one. ". In light of the above qualification, I believe that he is correct. I am not sure if you will want to spend the money for one. When it comes to this one, I would recommend the purchase. You can still find plenty of works that are worth using if you don't have one. However, you can choose to go with them even though they're not quite as well made or look quite as cool.

It's great for saxophones and not so great for clarinets
3/5

I found this ligature to work well with my Selmer alto sax mouthpiece. However, it is NOT the right size and shape for clarinet When on Clarinet, it can't be put on easily, has to be pushed and pushed again Clarinet mouthpieces are adjusted to conform to the tightened tension. Flexible and light, steel lends itself to flexible and light devices. With sax and clarinet, it creates a free, open sound by allowing the Reed to It's great to have good reeds, and bad reeds are not so great. If the reeds are unbalanced, a heavier ligature will work best. This is not a ligature that is designed to be tightened very often. As far as I can tell, my reeds do not get marked by In addition, it has rubber stand-offs on the reverse to keep it from sliding. There is no telling how long those will last. I'll update when I can.

I urge you not to purchase this because it looks cool
3/5

It does not hold Reed's (Alto Sax) well. No fit for my AL3 Optimum with a Reed attached. The device did not adhere well to the wall. I was disappointed with the ligature as a whole. It would be nice if I could get a refund since now I only use rovner and it's better than anything else I've ever tried. You will be happier if you just purchase a $20 rovner.

A great time was had by all The round ligature is the best choice
5/5

Despite the price, the ligature is worth the money the "floating" design lets the reed vibrate freely while still securely holding it in place. When you need more power in your sound, this works best with small chamber mouthpieces. It also works well with medium chamber mouthpieces.

I like the way you ligatured it
5/5

Try to tie two ligatures at the same time. It did not bring anything new to the table in comparison to my optimal. I think this is a great tie-in!.
