Yes, if you are referring to the teethguard It is hard to buy it separately if it is the ligature insert that you are talking about. My plan was to go to a place like home depot or ace hardware and select a piece I could buy and insert myself.
Either hard rubber or plastic seems to work well with it, in my opinion. The newer model has been better than the older one for me, so I am very satisfied with mine.
About Martin, I have no idea. It is great that the Versa ligature is as good as the Vandoren leather, but I can't compare it. A solid web fabric ligature is attached to a mouthpiece with a band that molds to your mouthpiece in front. As opposed to leather, which would tend to stretch over time, it would hold its conformance better.
According to my understanding, this means the Reed is locked in place on the plate, so the ligature can only go on one way when it is
Selected User Reviews For Rovner V-1R Clarinet Ligature
In the instance of purchases of BG Ligatures, they sent me one that didn't work (the gold part was uneven, causing me to squeak a lot and be unable to sing or articulate Essentially, I didn't like my new BG gold Revelation Ligature, and I didn't return it to the place I bought it. The $50 I spent on it was a waste. I have moved on to trying the Rovner brand. My only regret is how long it took me to try it. There is a nice feature that lets you adjust the ligature to make your sound brighter or darker depending on your preferences. Worked for me! With this light, the tone is really nice and the articulation is very good. If you are looking for a ligature that is consistently and predictably responsive throughout all ranges of the clarinet, this is the one for you. Make sure you give it a go!.
Due to the fact that I do not have a local teacher, I have to take my classes online. To make sure I have the ligature's installation options wisely selected (metal on reed versus fabric on reed), I would benefit from the expertise of an experienced clarinetist. Having said that, the ligature provides me with consistent performance, and appears to be pretty The tone of my voice is generally better than it used to be when I was a This is not always the case, so something else is at fault. Right now, I have the black fabric placed between two metal clamps and reed and it's all set up. This is working perfectly for me, but I am just returning to the clarinet after a 51-year absence We are taking a year off. I don't think this ligature would be a great choice for a complete beginner unless they have access to a teacher "in person" to guide them through the process.
Therefore, I decided to buy this ligature for safety reasons The ligature I am using now is an up ligature from the one I have been using since middle school (I am a music major in college). In the meantime, I only needed a new one with better quality to hold me over until I can pick up I could barely tell the difference between my $20 metal one and this $50 something material one when it came to sound quality. My goal was to find out which ligature was better from a recording of myself playing the same scale and asking others to rate it. Those who listened said there was no difference and those who heard the metal one (without knowing it) liked it. It is better to get the classic LeBlanc ligature instead of this one. The price is also much better for the same sound quality. I have been using it for about 7 years now and it has never let me down. If you want the Silverstein, then save up the money and get it. There's nothing better than the sound quality on that, which I've tried before. The price is steep, but the results are well.
It was mentioned to me that this type of mouthpiece exists There was a noticeable difference in their sound and in how easy it was to play. My first attempt was successful so I tried another. There's no doubt in my mind! With this ligature, it is easier to "suit up" because once the screw is turned, it holds the ligature in place. It is easy to maneuver because the crown is round and ridged. My notes sound better now compared to the old ligature and I can tell the difference between the two. The Rovner improved the tone from a tinny color to a more natural tone. If you are interested in experimenting, you may be surprised at the results you get from this ligature. You can play around with the different configurations and you may be surprised at the results. I discovered that I didn't have to tighten it down very tightly for it to work just fine.
The only negative I found is that my clarinet case can't hold the new mouthpiece cover once I attach it to So it doesn't make any difference to cover the mouthpiece when it is in the case.
When I purchased the Rovner Dark, I wished I had purchased a ligature like this. To match every reed and player, you can make the largest and smallest adjustments. Synthetic reeds of the Legere brand can get through the altissimo, while graphite reeds play a little more easily. There is nothing wrong with the options or plate Although I did not hear a huge difference in tone between the textures, I would say that having the bare metal next to the reed vs having two leatherette flaps cushioning the reed made a difference. When I played Reed Book 1 in Cabaret, which contained major clarinet parts in the 4th and 5th octaves, I found that my response and sound improved when the metal was placed directly on the reed. Don't waste money on anything else except a great ligature A solid gold object would not be able to do this.
As an alternative, I also use a Pomerico Glass Diamond, a VanDoren B50, the Backun Beta mouthpiece, and an Andreas Eastman mouthpiece. It is able to perform differently (desired) for each of them and equally well for them all. My mouthpieces can be tuned to each different embouchure, which includes jazz, band, classical and contemporary in sound, for the correct tone quality (and removing squeaks and register breaks) when a student player's embouchure is not This selectability is not trivial, and it cannot be achieved with a standard or other (often A ligature with many configuration possibilities gives you the ability to customize your reed in many ways (included in your purchase). Whether you're a student or a professional, you will enjoy this book.
I personally didn't find this to be superior to the Rovener Dark setups, but at a much higher price than they deserve.
After reading some reviews for both the Yamaha CL and CL-, I decided to get one With my Palatino student clarinet B/b that I have, I have a 4C clarinet mouthpiece in Bb/A that works very well. The Rovner "The Versa" Ligature for the Bb clarinet hard rubber style MP V-Si also caught my eye In addition to working well with my rig, 1R also offers great value. Reviews stated that it is a waste of money. A lot of people could not get sound from it. As I tell you, it was sort of like starting over, but I know so much more now than I You are not having trouble with either of these so if you're looking for a great upgrade as well as great sound ordering both together should be the best option. It's easier to get into the high register with a cleaner sound.
