Questions & Answers
As seen in the listing, the ligature is mounted upside down. You shouldn't trust the Amazon photos for instructions about how to use a product since they are obviously not clarinetists.
When playing the clarinet in its playing position, the screws on any ligature should be on the right. It will typically mean the screw is on the front of some ligatures. This means that the screw is on the back of the ligature in other ligatures. This means that there will always be a screw on the right.
It does not matter what model of clarinet you play. Keeping your mouthpiece in place is all you need to do. If you wish, you can take your mouthpiece to a local music shop and have it sized with a Rovner 1R, though I'm not sure if it will work (the 1R ligature should fit any Selmer Goldentone).
This is a synthetic material, according to what I understand.

I've been playing the clarinet for 7 years, and I'm currently in my senior year of high school. There must have been a reason why I did not receive this email earlier. I began to notice the changes in my tone as my practice progressed, and I tried everything to diagnose it -at this point I realized it was the cheap equipment This is a ligature I had used since my 6th grade band. I then paired it It has worked very well for me with Vandoren reeds. In terms of sound quality, it produces a fair amount of heat, but it is still very clean. The tone on the high notes is enhanced when this is used. However, although you can put it on your mouthpiece immediately out the box, it cannot be used immediately afterward. It is important that you follow the instructions on the box before you begin. It was very easy for me to use all I had to do was to oil the metal parts with cork grease. For about a week, I oiled the metal parts at the beginning of each practice session when I played for about three hours each day. A fuzzy, dull sound will result if you don't do this. If your sound is dull, you may need to oil your instrument in the middle of practicing. As time goes on, the ligature will conform to your mouthpiece and reed and you will not have to do this anymore.
As my band teacher spoke during class, I had a fantastic opportunity to see the Alliage Quintet, a German group of saxes with a pianist accompanying them. The woman invited me to go, and I asked if I could go. I was amazed at how talented these musicians were as soon as I saw them. As we were leaving the small opera house with a stage up front, they said if we had any questions, they would be next to the stage. As part of a discussion, someone suggested we ask what they use on their instruments, so I figured I should get their opinion on ligatures, since mine is pretty poor quality. The one I was talking to said that he used a Rovner Ligature, and that it cost There is nothing to complain about with this ligature. It screws on very smoothly, and it stays on very There is a good reason why professionals use it.
Since my wife gave me a clarinet as a Christmas gift, I have been working on In the meantime, I was not satisfied with the tone of the message. Part of the problem may be primarily mine, but I notice that the ligature is not holding the reed very tightly as well. One of these ligatures caught my eye and I thought I'd try it. They are a little pricey for such a small part, but they do the job. This ligature has greatly improved my tone, but I have a long way to go before I can play the way I used to, and that will only happen with practice.
Several reed types have been bound with this type of ligature. It's important to have the right mouthpiece, and I'm currently using a $400 mouthpiece. At a concert I went to, I noticed a solo clarinetist had a huge, rich tone, and after complimenting him on it, he mentioned this mouthpiece to me. R13 Buffet). I felt that it made a big.
It is a good option for a replacement for the already broken ligature you have. The new Bonade ligature replaces the old tired one. Based on reviews here at Amazon, I bought the book. My opinion of the ligature is extremely positive. One has been on my wish list for a long time, but I wasn't sure what to get. My Selmer C85 mouthpiece is a great match for this Playing on it immediately was seamless, and I had no problems hearing it or hearing the dynamics. making some adjustments to my technique, or a period of getting used to it. There is none to be done! year old and have been playing for over.
Furthermore, the chromatic tuners are not only easy to use and durable, but they also greatly enhance the instrument's tone. He could not be first chair considering his playing ability was much better than many of his classmates. Yet, his teacher said he was playing flat notes, despite the fact that his playing ability was far superior. He was surprised to be able to consistently play in tune after our original metal ligature broke. I attached his reed with a zip strip (I know, this is kind of ghetto), and he never stopped playing. Since the instrument was tuned and sounded warmer after the Rover 1R ligature was installed, the instrument played in tune. It is definitely worth the price and certainly less expensive than some of the "professional" products. I was going to subtract a star for it being a bit pricey, but it is certainly worth the price and I believe it is worth the price.
Inverted fabrics have been around for a while but this is the original Rovner design that spawned them. More often than not, the most original, simplest, easiest ideas tend to prove to be the best The fiddled around A design that is pleasing to the eye and functional remains the most valuable.
The ligature was done upside-down, which meant she had to learn a new way to put it on since it attached to the skin in reverse. My rating is 5 stars based on my experience with it! So she had a raspy sound to every note with her old ligature. Although we didn't know the reason for it, we decided it must have been a bad-quality clarinet and had to put up In the future, she joins the band at school, and the director suggests we get a new ligature for band before classes begin. I did a little bit of research and decided that this was of good quality and reasonably priced. This sounds great! You might want to tell her that!.
