In short, yes. To use the mini flathead screwdriver, you will need one. By the way, these are the best knobs I've found so far. Some of my basses have been getting a makeover. I've tried a few other brands, but these secure and feel better by far than any other.

A small blade screwdriver is much easier to find for these types of installations.
Vintage Forge has just sent me a few different guitar parts and I have been very impressed with the quality so far. Knobs of this kind are easily tightened and are made of good quality material, which you can easily find a flat-tip screwdriver for. Here are some of the other VF parts I got and am happy The ferrules for the strings and the nickel-plated strap buttons are lipless. There are a number of top-notch items among them. A VF part would have been useful to me if I found it sooner.
My vintage Telecaster Deluxe needed some heavy duty control knobs, and this Chrome Metal Dome Knob set from Vintage Forge was just what I was looking for. The machines are well-machined and have a good finish All the pieces are finished and properly fitted to a 1/4" stud. This is the shaft of a pot It is a professional grade knob in every sense of the word!.
Upon installing these knobs on my standard 250k US-style Telecaster build, I noticed that they fit perfectly A pot should be the right size.
Quite solid and heavy, with a nice finish. I liked the finish and the fit of the garment.
My project guitar is going to have these strings. Generally seem to be of good quality. I like both the weight and the feel of it. I was pleased with the finish and the speed of delivery. The next time I start a build, I will purchase this again.
They have so thin gold plating that you can barely see it. There is no point in wasting time. There will be no match for anything else on your guitar that is gold plated. These look more like nickel and not at all gold next to the bridge and tuners.
The gold tone is bright. My vintage bass almost looks out of place with this pickup. We can only hope that things will calm down in the coming The way a tank should be.
