Questions & Answers

Would these work on a 72 reissue custom?

The fit should be good. Set screws can be adjusted.

This is my first time buying these for my tele, but they don't fit the poles at all. Are my 6mm glasses delivered with a spacer included, or will I have to remove a spacer before I can use them?

These are brass potentiometers with chrome plating for use with solid shaft potentiometers 1/4 inch in diameter, according to the Ernie Ball website. An allen wrench in the size 5/64 is required to tighten the set screw. Despite the fact that they are still using SAE, they are also using The P06354 will appear on the package if the shaft is 1/4 inch as long as the package states that. For the part number, look at the UPC Code on the back and you will find that it translates to 6354 based on the 3 end digits "16354 1"! Let me know how that goes!

They are very high quality and don't know where they are made but they are very good. This is my P bass with them on it.

THE PRODUCT IS NOT AS DESCRIBED
3/5

Knobs with this shape will not fit 1/4" solid shaft pots! Although they do have a set screw, they also have 18 splines on the inside (see the picture). Since the splines are added, the knobs cannot be used with any 1/4" solid shaft pot (not even I believe that these knobs are clearly designed for use with import split shaft pots, and that they The products will not fit a USA telecaster or precision bass.

The knob should be heavy if you intend to use it
3/5

If you have a preference for a heavy knob, the kind that feels good when you quickly turn the dial, then you won't like this. They're made of aluminum as it says in the description, so it makes sense why they'd be so noticeable when playing. However, I did hope it wouldn't be so noticeable and annoying.

I was hoping to love these as I've always been a fan of ErnieBall's products, but I'm not sure about the aluminum since aluminum is quite expensive. They are also not very glossy, kind of in between matte and My package did not contain an allen wrench (not that it would matter if you already had an allen wrench). I have a bazillion old and scarred knurled knobs in my collection, and these are slightly larger in diameter. They will be kept by me, but they will be passed along to.

For 1/2 the price, you can have good quality aluminum knobs
4/5

I gave it 1 star only because these say they are made in Taiwan, but they are in fact American products. Apart from that, these are very good quality, the set screws work well, the finish is fairly consistent Machined pretty well, and glossy black in color. There are no knurled edges or grips on the ring, but that is not an issue for me for others, it may be. There were a few P-s with these It is nice to find a black bass Squier set that is of good quality. The solid CTS framework was used for these Pots fit well and are of good quality. It is possible that some might prefer a smaller potentiometer washer if they're planning to sit almost on the pickguard. The washers I used have a gap in them due to their larger diameter than the cut-out, so they'll need to be placed close together. It has an out of the way recess at the bottom. No big deal, just a little inconvenience. My conclusion is that these are a great buy, especially at 1/2 their cost in comparison to Fender.

Replaces the knobs on your Fender guitar with this excellent alternative
5/5

A group of Ernie Ball knobs were a great replacement for the ones on my bass. As a result, it appears more precise (the grooves are bigger than the tiny ones on the OEM knobs, which just feel rough to me), I prefer a domed top, and the Allen set screw is a better option than the flat-headed one. A blade set screen is displayed. There are a few differences between the two knobs (the Ernie Ball knob is 18 mm vs 19 mm in diameter), but to me that isn't a big deal.

This is a heavy, shiny, and sturdy product
5/5

Fender's parts are rounded at the point where the dome part meets the knurled sides, but slightly less than their current versions. There is a set screw, but it is a hex screw, which is more convenient to tighten, however it is not a vintage correct screw. However, overall quality is equal to Fender's. There is something attractive about the way Ernie Ball packages these in a ziplock You should be careful not to lose a set screw when you open it because they are tiny and nearly invisible in.

It was scratched, wrong parts were used, and the design was horrible
3/5

I believe that they were shipped in a ziplock bag together with a wrench along with the knobs and they arrived badly scratched. My sense of control began to emerge from the guitar so loudly I could hear it. In spite of the fact that the knob is easy to remove after wrenching down so hard.

I love these little knobs! Those are some great little knobs
5/5

2 packages of knobs (4 knobs) were bought recently for a 60's vintage Vox Cougar bass guitar with old black plastic "hat" knobs with white numbers on them and a stick. TONE or VOLUME are printed on silver metallic labels. There were some old knobs and labels that had deteriorated after 50 years in service (understandable since plastic is so strong) and one had cracked so badly it could no longer turn the potentiometer on which it was mounted. Within a couple minutes I removed the old knobs and replaced them with these Ernie Ball aluminum ones. I tucked the allen headed set screws into place, and I was good to go! On the 1/4" shafts of the Vox pots, they're well constructed and look nice, and the knurled surfaces on the new knobs give you good control over them. It's a happy day for the.

Heavy duty knobs that are good quality
5/5

The knobs were purchased for a copy of Washburn P Bass that I am It is a great fit for the "American Standard" size smooth shaft pots that I installed and the retaining screws do a good job of securing the pot. A detailed inspection of the knob shows that it is made of metal (with a plastic interior, as expected) and not Although they are a bit more expensive than I wanted to spend, I still think they are a very good deal. I would highly recommend them, except if you were trying to cut weight from.
