Questions & Answers

Does the outer ring holding the knob in place have a loose fit? Are you sure this will It comes that way, isn't it?

Aside from owning Ibanez guitars, I also own Epiphone guitars. It is advisable to pull the locking ring only when it is snugly fitted. On the other hand, there are knobs that are too narrow so that the locking ring seems In this case, it might be best to put a piece of cardboard or paper between the U-shape and the ring An erector. For the sake of clarity and to make things clear, there are knobs that are smaller. This one worked with all parts from the original, such as domes, speed knobs, and It might be worth a shot You could use another guitar, or if you have another lying around, you could try adjusting the locking ring as you position it down with the U-nut An erector.

Could this be used with a knob with a diameter of The spacer under the knob does not cause any issues A sufficient amount of food is available. ?

No, the jaws open only to about 31/32", if you are measuring the diameter of the know. Here are a few you might want to look into, I have one and it's pretty useful

Do you know if this would work on coils What is the purpose of the split and push/pull tone knobs on the ?

In fact, it applies equal pressure to both sides of the knob as it is

Would these stick to metal knobs like those found on telecasters or precision basses, e.g., those found on fender and G&L instruments?

Depends on which knobs they are, for example, if they are push-on knobs, then yes these will work on any potentiometer that is attached by pushing on the My own Fender Telecaster and Fender basses also have metal knurled knobs, and I know very well they have a tiny allen screw on the side, which is attached to posts, and by loosening that screw you can release that knob without It may help if that was helpful

This product was cheaply manufactured and did not perform as well This tool disappointed me to no end
3/5

Plastic was used, and there were plastic flashing ridges along the molding seams running across the feet. These made it difficult for the feet to fit under the knob. There was no other choice but to file off the flashing. I could not get my feet to go under the knobs on my Strats even with the feet that were shallow. It took me several pulls to get the feet out from under the knob, because they kept coming out. The problem is that it has a difficult time holding the knob well, particularly if you push it very hard. I found the product to be less efficient and less effective if greater diligence and quality were put into the manufacturing process. I also found the price a little disappointing considering that the item is essentially a cheap piece of.

The great part of them is that they are small enough to fit in your small space
5/5

It was a problem with my American Strat that there wasn't enough space between the body and the bottom of the knob, it didn't happen with my other guitars. Using the knob puller, you place the ring outside the knob, slide it down to hold it together, then pull forward. Despite its simplicity, it works quite I made sure to leave space for this puller while I replaced the knobs because it won't scratch my guitar like a screwdriver or knife or whatever you might stick under the knob.

Simple to use and made of durable plastic
5/5

The materials seem to be the same as those used for really thick greenhouse trays, as well as many plastic components that you will find in vehicles (such as the black plastics You will definitely be able to use this for a long time! Putting the puller under the Fender style knobs is difficult since they sit very flush with the pickguard. I lifted the knob a little with my pick then used the pick to wedge the puller under it. The knobs on Gibson, for example, can easily be removed since they are raised a little.

We were able to solve our problem with it
4/5

However, I must still admit that although it's easy to use and the chrome barrel knobs I purchased it for are easily removed, I still think it's ridiculously overpriced compared to other products of similar quality. This item should be 3x the price. A black plastic piece and a gray piece. Although it's clearly designed more to remove "witches hat" style knobs used on many Fender Stratocasters and Gibson style guitars, I was also able to remove the smaller press fit chrome barrel knobs on G&L guitars using this tool. There are many L and Fender guitars and basses on the market. So it does work as advertised and might prevent someone from having to visit their guitar technician to find out how to get rid of a stubborn knob. I rated it 5 stars for its ability to work, but rated it only 3 stars because the price is way too high. It's a 4 out of 5 star rating.

This is close to being a 5 star rating
4/5

The only products I give 5 stars to are those that I can't see any way to improve for the price Despite the high price tag, I would've given this item 5 stars if it was half as expensive. After using it on many knobs, some of them were so jammed I was sure this tool would be damaged, I have to admit it works well even though it's not perfect. There is a problem - they can't print on paper Usually prongs are thin so they can be inserted under knobs that are very near the guitar, but these seem to be extremely As with everything else, you have to make a tradeoff, but on the other hand, as with all things, the thickness kept the tool from breaking on those stubborn knobs. Even so, the price would have been more attractive if it offered some innovation- The whole.

If you're ordering anyway, just add this to your cart
5/5

so often, something new comes along that should be added to your guitar maintenance collection, and this is one of them. Basically, it works 100% of the time.
It is easy to work with, durable and simple enough to work. These pullers are essential when working on guitars, whether you are replacing electronics, polishing, or performing any other task which involves removing knobs, etc. In order to test the durability, I tried on over ten different knob types and was able to remove all of them without a lot of effort, which includes top hats, speed knobs, etc. Anyone who has problems with this tool SHOULD NOT be working on their equipment. If you want to use it properly and quickly, all you need to do is pull up the loop, slide the puller over the knob, push the loop down, and then You're done! In spite of the knob being so close to the body, this tool easily slides under any knob base and allows you to quickly remove it without damaging the device. Buying now while the cost and quality are optimal is the only way to ensure you get this product when it is copied and as popular as a string winder when it is popular.

Access to the workplace is simple
4/5

In order to remove the "flash" from the feet, I used a Swiss Army Knife. You can use the blade horizontally (or perpendicular to the "flash" and gently scrub the surface. It took me two at most. You have to lift the ring section extremely close to the top and then insert the feet under the knob (My Strat knobs were extremely close to the scratchplate, but it still When the feet are under the knob, it prevents the feet from moving. Push the ring back up, and it locks the feet in place. It is as simple as pulling the top loop, and the knob is pulled out of the puller and retained in its place. There's no way for it to escape.

YouTube setup video I saw this on showed a simple, effective method for obtaining the optimum guitar setup
5/5

My old method of prying up knobs was using a tshirt or spoon, but this makes it far Damage to your pots and knobs is no longer an issue. I don't see the need to explain how it works because it's so simple and effective. A little tool like this has a variety of uses and is well worth the purchase if you often work on guitars, amps, or pedals.
