Questions & Answers

Do you think this bridge would fit my Silvertone LB11 bass or is this bridge made for Fender basses specifically?

It has the same screw spacing as the fender P The bass is strong, though. In the case that they don't match yours, there is enough saddle adjustment that you can fit it about 3/16" forward (or backwards) from the holes in your bass. Once that has been done, just place the saddles to achieve the desired You can also adjust them to adjust side to side. Be sure to measure first! You might be able to find a video on this on YouTube. Badass bridges have been a favorite of mine for years, and this one is the best yet.

The A style bridges are made of steel. What makes the KickAss style bridge different?

It is completely beyond my comprehension. With many adjustments up and down as well as back and forth, the hip shot anchors firmly in the bass's body. A style that is called "A" is not familiar to me.

In order to adjust string height, how large should the allen wrench be? Thanks a lot. ?

With a string height adjuster, you are not required to have an allen wrench.

Do you think this will work on a non-Windows computer Is there a string running through your Could you please tell me what you are looking for? A Japanese Precision from the early 80's?

My Squier Classic Vibe precision bass worked with this plug-in. If your bass does not have a standard Fender 5 hole mount, replace it.

I used it on my FENDER SQUIRE JAGUAR SHORT SCALE BASS and found it to be very accurate
5/5

I think this bridge is great. As far as weight is concerned, mine weighs nine pounds The weight is about 8 ounces and feels good. I find these to be easy to install and perfectly fit my Squire Jaguar bass. that the action can be adjusted on this wicked little bass, I finally have the ability to tune it to the right pitch. As well, I've added a song by Seymour Duncan A new set of Quarter Pound pickups have been installed to replace the horrible stock pickups. This little $170 Jaguar SS bass now sounds like a Stanley Clark Alembic, with incredible articulation and In addition, I was able to purchase this bridge for a greater discount here on Amazon than on Stewmac's website, where I usually buy my luthier tools and parts. than the one that came with my Jaguar that I wondered if it were defective, but nope, it's fine. It took me just a few minutes to swap out the flimsy little bent metal bridge Too, I love how easy it is to change strings with the top loading. This is my '51 P-38 This Leo Quan bass has a Badass bridge on the bridge and a through body As for the string mount, it doesn't sustain any better than this so I'd say that the Hipshot is as good as the Badass, which is no longer at production. I wish everyone a good time with their music!.

I like the look of it, but the intonation screws are not designed well
4/5

The pros are That's a great looking body!
This saddle was clearly machined out of brass
It is even lower than the stock Fender

Cons The perspective of the side-to-side I wiggle my hips side to side The saddle must have plenty of room for the rider A tighter tolerance would be helpful
Limits on intonation adjustments With both screw lengths, the screws do not bend - 5 screws do not need to be used It is the intonation adjustment that is causing this problem (possibly not a problem)

The main issue is how to adjust it. Due to the fact that they bump up against a height-regulated screw hole, there is only about 7/16 inch adjustment The adjustment screw is a key. There are four full-length spans on the bridge It's always possible to remove it by cutting a screw off, as long as you use two normal length intonation screws, and two shorter ones to offset the effect. Despite its shortcomings, it is not perfect. You can use the full length of the screw on a standard Fender bridge since the screw hole goes straight through the saddle. It's possible that a change in string gauge during a bug could require a trip to the hardware store to find the correct screw with the Hipshot, as it has more limited adjustment. However, the low minimum saddle height is a real bonus when compared with Gotoh and some of their knock-offs Neck shims are commonly used to set actions when there are action throw offs.

The Squier short scale Jaguar bass is compatible with the vintage, modified version of this Those three are the only ones The vintage modified Fender Squier short scale Jaguar bass fits the hole version
3/5

On Amazon, there is a picture of the wrong version (5 holes). You'll need to install the short intonation screws on the saddles for E and A, so you might as well do this first. The saddles may buzz a bit, so press down on the barrel sides with an Allen key until the buzz ceases. You may or may not be able to permanently fix the problem this way. If you change the saddles from side to side, you should be able to do this. I did not require this, and I wished there could have been an option without it. The bridge does not have a vibration sensor, so make sure you can deal with any buzzing it causes. In addition to new wiring and pickups, this bass plays and sounds great after it has been properly setup (including filing down the nut slots). With the lowered nut slots and the strings that are balanced on short scales, the intonation is great across the entire fretboard. These all work together to make a dirt cheap bass play and sound like it costs 10x as much. Guitar players with weak hands will love this!.

I find it beautiful and solid at the same time
5/5

In my Squier Jaguar bass, I used this to replace the bridge. It fit perfectly without requiring any extra holes to be drilled. All I had to do was screw it down and it was done. This chrome is on par with or even better than some of the chrome I've seen when it comes to bridges. Adjustments are simple. The saddles are smooth and don't create drag when tuning the guitar. It is very solidly constructed.

Featuring only brass, this is a top-of-the-line construction
5/5

The high quality construction and incredible sustain of brass make this a real standout. Easily customized to your playing style, this bridge allows you to find the perfect fit. Other than that, what else is there to I got an entirely different feeling from my bass with that. The bass bridge you get from this company is probably the best. I got my MIM Fender Jaguar bass to feel and sound like its worth more than three or four times the price I paid for it. There are some instruments that are worth modifying and if yours is one of them, it definitely deserves this Hipshot A Style Brass bridge. Additionally, they sell a version with narrower string spacing that is suitable for Ibanez basses as well.

There is no better bass bridge than this
5/5

Since I construct stringed instruments, I have installed a lot of bass bridges over the years. Having tested several A mount bridges, I can honestly say that the hipshot A mount pulls out the best in terms of ease of installation, hold saddle height adjustment, solid construction (I prefer brass over aluminum for tonal reasons), and clean look. A bridge of this caliber is hard to go wrong, and Amazon sells them at an excellent.

The SDGR on my Ibanez does not work
5/5

This bridge was purchased to replace the broken one on my Ibanez SDGR from the 90s. Due to the fact that the screw holes sat too close to the existing holes, I was concerned the screws would splinter and strip. It's a wonderful bridge, but I wish it had been available to me. It wouldn't be a good idea to have a bridge like the one in the picture.

Bridge of solid construction and high quality
5/5

had to replace the standard bridge on my MIM Jazz Bass because the old one was damaged. Since the saddle went down when I actively popped the G string, I had to use an Allen wrench to repair I was looking for a solid, stable bridge, and I found it in the Hipshot. I also found the installation process very easy. As far as tone and sustain are concerned, there is no difference in tone or increase in sustain It sometimes seems like that the color became darker and the tone became longer, but it is very subtle if there is any change There was a bit more tightness in the strings (which I actually like), but it was
I really like how it opens at the top.
