Questions & Answers

Is it possible to apply this to a 2007-model vehicle? Precision Bass made in Mexico in 2008?

It was used on a Precision Bass from Mexico from 2005. As a result, I am confident that it will be successful.

I'm a 73rd percentile performer. It's a bass with a single groove on the saddles. I'm not sure if this will work with my bass. ?

Yes, this Vintage bridge fits and replaces perfectly. Instead of a single groove, there are *multiple grooves to adjust string travel to be *between the pick-up and the pick-up. up magnets (you'll be able to adjust each string on the saddles a little to the left or right with this bridge). A good buy at a reasonable price, with a lot of potential. grade (-

On this bridge, how far apart do the strings have to be?

The spacing between the strings is different. Take a look at the notches in the saddles.

What does it have in common with a gohto? I bought a bridge cover, but it doesn't seem to fit my gohto?

I'm guessing you're referring to 'Gotoh'? Because I've never used their bridges, I can't directly respond. However, I am aware that Gotoh bridges have a high mass, which means they are thicker and heavier than a standard Fender bridge. High mass bridges, according to my understanding, provide more sustain, while standard bridges allow more of the natural tone of your instrument's woods to shine through. Many people believe that high mass is 'better,' but on Talkbass, this is not the case. Many people prefer this bridge to others. My Jazz is equipped with a Fender high mass, which lasts for days. But this is the tone I went with for my Precision.

It's not the best bridge on the market, but it gets the job done
5/5

There are a lot of fancy bridges on the market with some fantastic technology, and I admire and own a few of them. But, for the first time in a long time, I just got one of these cheapo Fender bent plates with threaded saddles, and I'm quickly reminded that no other bridge can do what this one can. This includes transferring string energy to the body and neck (high-mass bridges, by the way, are snake oil). It does it in an inelegant manner for this high-tech world, but it's super light, keeps your bass rock solid in tune, and costs less than almost everything else except its cheap knockoffs, which are often excellent. Many bassists complain that the saddles slide around on the plate, causing string spacing issues, but this is a simple fix. Allow the saddles to drift in the direction that your strings pull them, even if they become a little splayed out, and then choose your saddle slot based on your spacing needs. br>br>It's said that Leo Fender was the first person to get it right. Personally, I believe he should have eased up on the old school tuners, but he did get a lot of things right, and this bridge is one of them. It's not particularly attractive or technologically advanced, but it'll suffice.

The best bridge in the area is still in place
5/5

A study from about 20 years ago found that low mass bridges allowed the bass to resonate more effectively. I'm not sure what the current consensus is, but this bridge is beautiful. Flat head screws make adjusting much easier, and the overall quality is excellent. The threaded saddles allow for precise adjustment, and the adjusting and attachment screws are of higher quality and function than those from other brands.

It's simple, but extremely effective, and it's just right
5/5

It's perfect for my P bass. Intonation is good, and I like the old school style adjustable string spacing. It looks fantastic. br>br>I tried the Gotoh 201 bridge, and while it looks great, it didn't give me the action I was looking for. As a result, it came out.

Fender style basses have the best bent plate bridge design
5/5

In my opinion, the best bent plate bridge design for Fender style basses. This bridge is on two of my basses. One was played on a Warmoth bass that I built, and the other was played on a Squier Jazz bass. The smaller barrels allow for lower action, which is a significant improvement over the standard Squier bridge. Over the pickup pole pieces, there are also groves for string alignment. Furthermore, the string height adjustment is made with flat head screws, which makes finding and using allen wrenches on other bridges far easier.

If you prefer a retro/vintage look, this is an excellent replacement bridge
5/5

This is a nice bridge, and I purchased it for a project bass that does not require a complex bridge. That said, this bridge is fairly sturdy, and it also has multiple string slots, allowing you to customize your string spacing.

Everything was exactly as I had hoped
5/5

This is the bass bridge I prefer. Installed quickly and smoothly, and all the screws turned smoothly for adjustment. Since then, I haven't needed to use it.

On a Squier Affinity P-, it works perfectly
5/5

Bass. I used a Squier Affinity P-style guitar to record this. I was concerned that the strings would pop out of the grooves while playing, but this has not occurred. The cool thing is that you can adjust the string's position on the pickup to ensure that it is perfectly aligned. I'll be purchasing more of these in the future for other projects.

This is a fantastic substitute
5/5

The plate thickness of this bridge matches that of the original. It's the same for MIM basses as well. Two things are implied by this. For starters, the increased bridge height eliminates the need to adjust the neck angle. Second, you get the tone that those old basses had with their vintage bridges. A high mass bridge is recommended if you prefer a thick, sustained modern rock sound. This bridge, however, will appeal to those who enjoy the sound of vintage basses. It has a vintage appearance and, more importantly, the string spacing can be adjusted to align the strings between the pickup pole pieces. I purchased this bridge to replace the one on my MIM Jazz Bass because I didn't want to change the tone but wanted to be able to adjust the string spacing. This bridge accomplishes this task admirably and also appears to be vintage in appearance. I didn't have to make any changes to the bass because it was a perfect fit. It was as simple as switching strings to replace the bridge. This product has exceeded my expectations.
