Questions & Answers
On a MIM Jazz Body, I used the three screws and they worked perfectly, staying in good contact with the body. Both the outside screw holes and the middle screw hole will be used. The bridge itself conceals the remaining screw holes.
Yes, it is possible if the screw holes align. However, if the Squire is made in Asia, it is possible that it will not be because it is metric. Take a look at it.
I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it's a little more substantial than a typical p-shirt. bridge in the bass
The 2008 and newer Fender American Standard Jazz and P basses came with this bridge as standard equipment. A three-screw string through is used. Instead, look for the American Deluxe, which I believe has a 5-screw through body.

Although this bridge is well-made and attractive, it is not a direct replacement for a MIM P-style bridge. bass. It was stated in the most recent FAQ answer that it would fit my bass, but it did not. I gave 5 stars for the quality and aesthetics of the bridge construction, as well as the seller's ease of return. As a result, I'm unable to give the play a rating. Although the bridge's ability was disappointing, the overall transaction experience and the quality of the merchandise were excellent.
It's a monster, this thing. I purchased it to replace the bridge on my old Mexican Jazz Bass because I now own a new USA Fender bass with this bridge. It's worth noting, however, that this bridge only has THREE mounting holes, as opposed to the five used in traditional bridge designs. Worse, the three holes aren't perfectly aligned, so if you're upgrading from an older 5-hole set, you'll need to adjust your expectations. You'll almost certainly need to drill at least two mounting holes for this. This bridge can also be loaded through the body or from the rear. Because I intend to do the latter, I'll need to drill holes.
Both of my Fender basses, one an MIM Jazz and the other a bass I built with a Squier body, now have a lot more mass. This is not a string-through bridge. Both options are available on the bridge (through-and-through). both the bridge and the through- It has a body that can be used for stringing on almost any bass. If you need more sustain and "weight" (literally or figuratively), this is a must-have.
This is a beautiful bridge. It was perfect for a reissue of a 1951 Precision bass.
This is an excellent bass bridge that outperforms many more expensive brands.
This bridge was purchased to replace the one included with my Fender Precision Japanese 51 Reissue. I'm a stickler for intonation adjustments, and the original only had two. Because this bridge comes standard on the new American Standard P Bass, I already had some experience with it. The best part is that you won't have to drill any new holes because they'll perfectly line up. In addition, I now have a through-body string option as well as a back-of-the-bridge option, which I really needed because I prefer flat wounds. This is a fantastic bridge that I would strongly recommend.
