Instead, I considered getting eminence dv77s, but the voicing on these is just a little bit more full. They do, however, crunch! Also made in Kentucky, so you can always feel good about buying something made in the United States.
These sound mid-heavy in my cabinet, which is a good thing. I've got vintage 30 mixed in with them. The Veteran 30 is much more appealing to me. I'll most likely replace the Celestion with a retro 30 and use the veteran 30. Speakers of exceptional quality. They're also made right here in the United States. I've used a Marshall jcm 2000 DSL, a Peavey 6505, and even a boss katana head to test them. All of them sound fantastic through the veteran 30.
If not more, they are in their 30s. Have you heard about the Celestions V-? 30 and these appear to be a little warmer and less abrasive than those. Warmer and more well-rounded. I'm a big fan of amps that have a lot of gain. It's just my opinion, but give it a shot and see what you think.
The Jensen speaker in my Fender Hotrod Deluxe and this speaker sound completely different. It definitely brought down the highs, removing the "nails on the chalkboard" feeling. I'm confident that as I continue to put this Veteran 30 to work, things will only get better. This speaker is also paired with a Celestion G12P-based extension cabinet. There are 80 people who will speak. That will undoubtedly be replaced by another GWS.
This is my preferred model over the V30 because it is less bright and has more punch in the lower midrange frequencies. StewMac dispatched this quickly and without fuss, and the speaker arrived well packaged and in perfect working order.
The sound is incredible, and it works flawlessly. , which is loud and clear.
It's a little less harsh in the midrange, but it still has the same aggressive tone. I've got mine in a Mesa 2x12 vertical cab with a WGS ET 65, and my sound has never been better. Where else can you get a high-quality American-made speaker at a price that rivals Celestion?.
