Questions & Answers

Where do these come from?

In the U.

Do they still break up with a lot of distortion after they've been broken in?

Because of the headroom you have, you'd have to play them very loudly to get them to break up, but you can still do it.

I'm so sick
5/5

For the genre of music I listen to (metal), the best sounding speaker. I haven't even tried it in its purest form yet. This speaker is nothing short of a colossus. With this installed, I'm using a 1x12 peavy cabinet and only a 20w orange micro dark amp, but it's incredibly loud. I can't imagine a 4x12 being crammed full of these.

G12h - Celestion 150 Redback 16 ohm ohm ohm ohm ohm This speaker is one of my favorites
5/5

It fulfills my need for something that can handle all of my Marshall 100 watt head so that I can leave my 4x12 at home for the most part. In a small 1x12 cabinet, it is light weight. Both the 8 ohm and 16 ohm versions are in my collection. I prefer the 8 ohm unit because the 16 is a little brighter. It has the sound of a Greenback to me. I have a lot of flexibility because I have both. I can use them with amplifiers that are 16 or 8 ohms. I can also parallel them for a total of five. 33 ohms. As a result, I can use a transistorized amplifier with a maximum power rating of 4 ohms.

When compared to the Waza speaker, it's basically a loud greenback that needs to be cranked to sound its best
4/5

I put one of these into my Boss Katana Artist combo amp and it gave it a lot more punch and low end clarity at high stage volume. br>br>The only real flaw is that at low volumes, it can sound a little flat and lifeless. I believe they would work well in a gigging 2x12 or even a 1x12, but I'm not sure how 4 of them would work unless you could really crank up the stage volume and move some air with them. I'd go with heritage greenbacks or 65w Creambacks even if I had a 4x12.

Performs the duties of a number of different speakers! This speaker is ideal for when a 4x12 cabinet is too big for your Marshall head and you need something smaller
5/5

I bought this with a good speaker cabinet, and it handles everything the amp throws at it with clean sounds and no distortion. I like the fact that it has a maximum power output of 150 watts, just in case I need it. It's well-built and has a lot of weight to it! This is the first time I've "built" a cabinet from the ground up, and I'm glad I did. Both the speaker and the cabinet cost the same as some small amplifiers, but the sound quality is far superior!.

The sound quality of this speaker is fantastic
5/5

In my orange 1x12 cabinet, I installed this speaker. It used to have a celestial vintage 30 in it. That, however, was insufficient to handle my PV invective 120 head. It's fantastic in terms of both sound and functionality. This speaker is unquestionably a good idea because it can easily handle any 100 watt head without causing damage. Works well with metal and other clean materials.

In essence, it's a 150-watt greenback
5/5

My vintage 30, which was housed in a 1x12 Peavey cabinet, was fried as a result of my Marshall JCM2000 rig and my aggressive playing. br>br>On the dirtiest channel, I have my gain set to 12 o clock and my volume and gain set to 22 o clock. I use a tube screamer to boost the amp, and I use an Xotic Ep Booster to boost the tube screamer. br>br>In addition, all of my guitars feature high-gain Dimarzio pickups. br>br>In short, when everything is said and done, my signal hits the amp hard. br>br>With this in mind, I didn't want to fry another V30 (and then have to re-install it). I'm not Brian May, and I can't afford to fry speaker after speaker for 95 dollars). br>br>As a result, I needed something that could withstand the abuse that I subjected my cabinet to while also providing plenty of headroom. And it gets the job done. br>br> Advantages: br>br> br>high wattagebr>sounds like a greenback (breaks up quickly)br>easy installationbr>br>Cons: br>high wattagebr>sounds like a greenback (breaks up quickly)br>easy installationbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b br>This isn't a V30: I was completely smitten by the V30s' icepick mids. With that speaker, man, could I pierce the mix. There is a little too much speaker distortion. br>br> Hopefully, once I've broken in the speaker a little more, this will go away.

The best Celestion Speaker on the market
5/5

I wanted to like my vintage 30s in my half stack, but I had to fiddle with the amp's eq, try different electric guitar strings, and even switch pick ups. I heard the Celestion Redback live and knew I had to have it. My half stack roars now that all four vintage 30s have been replaced. It's insane how loud and clear my half stack is compared to my friend's full stack. Another cool feature is how it sounds when using stomp boxes (delay, flanger, overdrive, etc. ) in front of the amp.
