Questions & Answers

The Fender bassman 007 celestion has a "meh" sound to it. Is this a good replacement for the falcon I already have, or is it better with the falcon I already have?

I had a no-name 10" speaker that came with a cheap Acoustic Aplification 20w transistor amp (model G20). I replaced it with a Jensen in an 8 ohm configuration. In comparison to the stock speaker, the magnet in the Jensen was much heavier. In terms of sound, the Jensen had a better mid-range. range. I eventually replaced the stock speaker with a Jensen, intending to purchase another to build a 2 x 10" cabinet for my Vox Night Train NT15H amp head. That mid-point is one of my favorites. acoustic range However, after that - I grew up when 45rpm singles were still available on vinyl. ) TedWeber, aka WeberVST, has a number of speaker offerings that you might enjoy. They have sound samples to compare one speaker to another, as far as I know. If you want vintage, an Alnico Jensen or something similar might be a better choice. My favorite speaker cab for the Night Train is a custom Mojotone Canyon cabinet with a Celestian G12M Greenback 8 ohm ceramic magnet. Take pleasure in your voice. quest!

Is this something that could be used to replace a silvertone stereo cabinet?

Check to see if the Silvertone cab is a stereo cab rather than a standard 4ohm 2 x 12" speaker cab (e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g The Twin Twelve is a fictional character. ) I like the Jensen C12Q as a replacement for the original speakers in this cab because they can handle and capture the extra bass that separates vintage Silvertone amps from modern Fender amps without adding weight to the particle board cab. However, the Jensen C12R (25W) is a lighter alternative to Silvertone and is a perfectly acceptable replacement. Before introducing speaker breakup, I prefer to let the amp do its thing for a little longer.

Do you have a 35W or 50W speaker?

The C12Q has a power output of 35 watts. A 50 watt option would be the C12N.

This is a Roland cube 30 replacement part. The unit of measurement ohm isn't mentioned in the manual. So, what do you think 8 or 16 ohms would be best?

I haven't decided yet. Is that the one that runs on batteries? I believe the resistance is 8 Ohm. Best wishes,

Warmth can be added with this practice amp replacement speaker
5/5

I'm a sailor from a bygone era. Vinyl LPs, 45s, and 8-track tapes were a part of my childhood. cassette tapes and tracks There's a warmth to those old recordings and mediums that "CD quality" music doesn't have. Similarly, guitar amplifiers, especially those from the "modeling" era, are aiming for a higher quality sound. The midrange frequencies are "scooped" in a high-frequency sound. br>br>At one point, a particular music store was selling 10" solid-state record players. I found some inexpensive state electric guitar practice amps and purchased one. The speaker that came with it weighed only 1 pound 8 ounces and sounded quite shrill to my ears. I was dissatisfied with the sound and auditioned a number of 10" replacement speakers. I liked the warm midrange tones I heard from the Jensen C10Q, and the price was right, so I replaced the stock speaker with the Jensen. By the way, the Jensen weighed 3 pound 10 ounces. br>br>I used the original speaker and the Jensen to record some loops in my JamMan, which I then played through the amp and recorded. Then I opened up some sound analysis software and looked at the frequency spectrum of the recorded WAV files. This backed up what I had been hearing. The stock speaker boosted the higher frequencies while scooping the mids. "Presence boost," as it is known among listeners. Sorry, mang, but that doesn't sit well with this old hippie. Just give me some good ol' rock and roll. Any day of the week, I'll take a roll and a nice warm sound. br>br>The amp, by the way, was an Acoustic Amplification G20, through which I'm using an Epiphone LP Studio with vintage wiring and a pair of alnico II chrome humbuckers. I didn't need a multi-effects amp or a slew of pedals to get the effects I wanted. All I needed was something small and light to carry around with me. I'm not going to carry a Marhsall stack or a Twin around with me any longer - With my back and knees like this, I'm not going to be able to do that. L8r G8r!.

Silvertone Stereo Console from Sears
5/5

I got a great deal on a vintage 1968 Sears Silvertone solid state stereo console. The Oxford 12" and 3" guitar speakers were destroyed. I spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out how to improve the sound without replacing the amp while keeping it as close to original as possible. To keep it as close to its original setup as possible, I chose this 12 inch guitar speaker in the end. These stereos originally came with guitar speakers and an era-appropriate guitar amp. However, I opted for a modern 3 inch full range driver and a 3. I used a 5 inch tweeter with a bass blocking crossover, which gave me an effective frequency range of 70 to 21k hz. Instruments have a lot of mid-range character, the bass is tight, and the high end sparkles. I'm very pleased with the setup, which is intended for low-volume jazz, roots, blues, and reggae music listening in the evening.

Upgrade to Super Champ X2
5/5

Changing the speaker to an Eminence Ragin Cajun seems to be the standard "upgrade" for a Super Champ amplifier. That's where I started, and I have to say, I think the stock Fender speaker sounds cleaner, brighter, and more Fender-like than the Ragin Cajun. So it was thrown out. The Jensen sounds remarkably similar to a Super Champ speaker that has been upgraded. Cleans stayed the same, but the low end got a boost, and with this Jensen in it, I almost feel like I'm playing through a much higher-end Fender amp. Immediately, the difference could be seen. For the time being, all I can do is imagine how it will sound once it has been broken in.

It really improved the sound of my old amp
5/5

In this case, I'm not sure what the term "sheerness" means. I put this speaker in a 1982 Peavey Backstage 20 because I had sentimental attachment to it, but it sounded thin to me. hollow. Yes, the Jensen was more expensive than the amp was worth. It's starting to sound fantastic! Much more full and rich. It'll only get better as it gets used to it. I'd buy more of these speakers if they were available. It's also amusing because it's green.

Outstanding orator

This speaker was purchased to replace the factory-installed speaker in a Vox AC-100. It's difficult to say whether it was the speaker or the new JJ tube set I installed at the same time, but the highs now appear to be a little more controlled. Even though it's a Vox, that "chime" struck me as a little harsh. The sound now has a rounder, warmer quality to it. When comparing two things, it's important to keep in mind that they're not the same When compared to a Super Champ X2 with the same speaker, the Vox sounds very Voxy – plenty of chime and presence, but with slightly better manners. This speaker, in my experience, will not change the fundamental character of the amp you choose to use it with – it will simply round things out, similar to. a dish that has been salted My SCX2 continues to be sweet and dark. ish, and my air conditioning isn't working properly. The chimey and bright tone of number ten hasn't changed.

It's a fantastic idea
5/5

Even after watching YouTube videos, I was blown away by how well it performed. I was initially hesitant because the price was so low, and my manual recommended that I use a Celestion G12. But now I'm a complete Jensen devotee. The sound is bright, aggressive, and yes, vintage. Because I play an SG, which has a darker tone, I know the brightness will help it stand out in the mix. It now has more of the 1960s chime that I've heard on Doors and Who records from SG's.

Fender Deluxe reverb is also in my collection. They were able to obtain Jenson speakers as a result of their efforts. Now that I've gotten my hands on a Fender Super ChampX2, I'm ready to take on the world kind of three tubes and a little bit of modeling on top of it Fender Special Design speakers are included. Stock speakers have a tendency to break up easily and sound a little mushy. It's possible that's what they were going for. However, I use my Gibson L-100 to play clean jazz music. or using my Tele to play a clean rhythm. This individual is in his or her late 30s. The amp has a wattage of 15 watts. There's plenty of headroom at watts. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I believe it will improve as time goes on. I usually play with a group of 5 people. I'm spending a few hours a week with the amp, so hopefully in a few months I'll have a better sound. However, for the time being. They are my favorite. The sound is very smooth and clean.

The tone is vintage
5/5

Reasonably priced. In my 1962 Fender Princeton, I swapped out the speaker. This has a wonderful vintage sound. Built to last. The ideal speaker to replace your vintage Fender. Speakers and sound in general are a very personal matter, but this Jensen fit the bill for me.
